Description
Second part of animals for character design.A griffin, of course! When given the option of drawing a fantasy character, there is a 99% chance I will draw a griffin. -loves-
Ill probably be using this guy for my final as well. We have to create 4 characters, a character bio for each one, and a story. If we want extra credit we can also do an expression sheet and turnaround for the protagonist. Fun eh?
You might also see a change in my fursona sometime soon...explanation will come then.

-stares with mouth hanging open and drool coming out- Yeah. Too much for my brain to handle lol. I wasn't going for the anatomically perfect, heheheh. Just for design. I knew the wings were too small but was too lazy to make them bigger. But thanks! Its not a bad thing to know so much about anatomy and such. I should probably learn more...

a tiger gryphon instead of the common lion version. gooood. not alot of ppl know a gryphon can be a tiger i dnt think lol. i love it lol

I make griffins into all sorts of bird/cat mixtures. Its more fun that way!

I love when people draw mythical or fantastical creatures and mke them look as though they REALLY EXIST! This is so anatomically correct, its amazing. Its so well proportioned and just such a fluid movement from bird to feline. Also the face is just to die for, that all knowing and oh so very kind expression! Not to mention the colour scheme of muted browns is lovely, so natural and complimentary. Great job!!

Thank you! I find mythical creatures so much fun to draw! And I too enjoy seeing a picture that is anatomically correct when depicting a mythological creature...it just bugs me when its so...jarring, ya'know?

These are very lovely patterns you have going on. The tiger stripes along with the almost osprey markings complement eachother well. And as always, very nice work on the composition of the character itself. The body is well formed, and the hair accents add to the bulky, muscular look.
