I think here is a way to lighten it...try different buttons on your monitor.

oh I used the brightness button thingy but it becomes too bright so I have to set it back

He's ver' ver' cool, that's for sure. Love his spiky head/neckfeathers... don't know that I've seen anyone but you do that on griffins, and it's awesome.
