Hello!

Decided to post this early this week, but I was finally able to finish this fan art of cloud and aerith just a little over 2 weeks since the release of FF7 remake. Did you guys enjoy playing it? I have yet to start playing but I spoiled myself because I couldn't wait to see the game in it's full glory of beautiful graphics, it didn’t disappoint...you know what else didn’t disappoint? All the cloud and aerith interactions! This is what I was hoping they would do to expand their relationship.

This might be a spoiler for those who didn't play but one of my favorite scenes that's not talked about a lot is the scene where they were taking a short cut to sector 7 and aerith says she knew A short cut and inside you have to work together to move these objects and in the end she gives you a high five. You can gradually see how cloud awkwardly acknowledges it. This is one of the first signs of his gradual change in character and aerith is the one that initiated it. Another scene that I like when cloud was asked to leave in the middle of the night, in that scene you can tell that he didn't really want to over stay his welcome since there is a negative connotation associated with being apart of solider and i'm sure he has had a lot of negative things said about him, which makes him distance himself from others. When he just left quietly thinking that he was never going to see aerith again now that the job he was hired for was done, she meets him at the end of the tunnel an surprised him with a " where do you think your going? " look. I guess he wasn't expecting her and asked her why she came, and she just basically says that she wasn't tired of him yet. This is quite important in my mind since it may as well be the first time some one has said that they still want to be around a person with negative association, which makes him " interested " in her antics and keeps him wondering why she's so different. I'm hoping that what I said made sense, it's hard to explain a scene that detailed to a person who has never experienced this sort of feeling.

But back to my drawing, it was inspired by a Korean drama called " while you are sleeping " and the premise of that drama is based the relationships between people who gradually form a bond from seeing each others dreams. The main protagonist saw visions of the future through her dreams and she is unable to prevent it from happening. She even saw her death and the death of her mother, which would have played out in front of her if it wasn't for the guy protagonist seeing it in his dreams and decided to stop it from happening. In his dreams it played out that she lost her mom and was framed for killing a person and she jumped off the building in front of him. He saw how torn up and sad she was and decided to help her, even though he didn’t want to be involved with people, everyone was like a working relationship to him so he never cared about the lives of other people till he met her... Sound familiar? Lol. Not going to spoil the rest because the plot is thick and everything ties together.
This is what I have been doing while being quarantined at home, going through my list of dramas that I have yet to watch.

Anyways this was inspired by one scene in the drama where they were at the park and both had the same dream that they kissed each other at the park. It reminds me of the original game where aerith appears in clouds dream of the sleeping forest. I made her wear her second choice outfit from the don corneo scene because i really liked it and reminded me of her kingdom hearts outfits.

I like the drama, the characters remind me a lot of cloud and aerith so if you are interested give that a watch!
