Hey!

So I realize that I have not drawn anything Final Fantasy related in a long time, how I know is that this piece was drawn back in 2007. It was originally just line art and had been sitting in my computer archives for all these years. I recently went through my art folder to clear things out and discovered some pieces I never colored and took the opportunity to do so now with my new art style. Which is a really good time since the announcement of the FF7 remake back in 2015. I'm still super excited about the remake, back then I can only say that I liked FF7 for what I have read as a game summary online but I have never played the game, so I didn't understand very well why people were so into the love triangle debate. I have to say even after playing the game I still feel the same way and I still believe in my original OTP, which is Cloud and Aerith. I've heard people give their opinion on what they would like to see in this remake, there's one thing I would like and that is to keep Aerith in the game longer to near the end, since I feel like people tend to not notice her importance because her death in the game was still fairly early, I want people to know why she is so important and led Cloud to being the person that he is in later series.

Let me just say that I don't play the shipping game anymore, I shipped a lot of couples back then that were never together and it made me really upset I.e. Digimon; Tai and Sora...lol. Which I'm still sour about to be honest.
anyways, that's another story for another time, so If you have seen my art back in 2007 it was all Kingdom hearts and Final fantasy I was all about it but I didn't want it to be the only content I have on deviant art and I expanded on drawing other things. But to be honest I really missed drawing game related content since it has been years since there was any RPG game that I enjoyed playing. Right...so shipping other than the obvious above couple I also liked the dynamic between Cloud and Aerith, I have mentioned before that Aerith is one of my top two female characters that I really like, only because she is so different and outspoken, she's not afraid to be opinionated and says whatever is on her mind. I guess back then the stereotype of women are constructed and restricted to particular traits, but I like how she has those traits but also fall out of the general stereotype on women.
I really think that's the kind of person Cloud needs in his life, someone who he can aspire to be.

I can go on about this pairing, but I'm sure you guys know their relationship well, since you clicked on my picture. Like I said this was drawn back in 2007 but colored recently using my new art style so in a way it is a special piece.I wanted to portray the promised land as to where they would end up meeting, I have seen many art works interpret this place, all of which were really stunning, so I thought I would do my own take on it.
as for what they are wearing...I believe I was sticking to the CLAMP art style of dressing their characters in fantasy type clothing.lol. I wish I can go back and ask myself why...cause the current me doesn't remember.
there was supposingly a game that features the two of them in a marriage theme content...lol. correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen it on tumblr somewhere. I also wanted to make Aerith wear that sort of styled dress, which is what you see here.

I noticed I always give a song reference in every art piece I have, but if you insert any Korean drama OST it would fit this theme, but one song in particular that I really like listening to when drawing this picture is

"Crush- Beautiful" from the Goblin OST

So after all my rambles what do you think about the remake? and just curious what would you like to see in terms of Cloud and Aerith in this new game? if you would like to see more please let me know!
