to love someone is not a trust thing. it just means to refrain from simple hate. yes, do what's safe, stay away from them, don't put yourself in the place again.i agree it'd be HARD to love in those situations.
still, it is possible. there is a lady who forgave a man who killed her daughter in a drunk car accident. and from there, she was the one who got him released from prison because he hated himself for what he did. true, it was an accident and not an intentional sin, but he drank and drove and murdered someone in the process, yet that person's mother had the heart to love him even though everyone agreed she had the right to hate him.

You know, I think it's actually cool that you added the note not to fave this unless we plan to use it. Nothing wrong with letting people know, and I kinda feel like that should almost be a rule with some Stamps. It shows more proper support, too.

I think that you've taken the wrong meaning for that quote. 
I could be wrong, but I feel like the point of that quote was more about about teaching us not to view people as demons instead of humans just because they made a poor life decision and I feel like a lot of that quote is about bad things that are tricky to deal with.
I'm probably wrong, but personally I feel like that quote is often for things that work like teenage pregnancy. Most people in the developed world consider that to be a bad thing, it seems, BUT if you believe everyone who does a bad thing is a bad person... well, does that mean that anyone who became pregnant as a teenager is a bad person? Do they deserve to be punished for it? I don't think so, and I don't think they should be judged all their lives for it. But does that mean teen pregnancy a good thing? No.Β
So I feel like that quote was made up specifically to help people be less judgmental, and not to let felons off the hook for their crimes. It probably won't help you feel less bad, but, ah well. I typed it anyway just in case.

you have a very good argument. I feel like this would apply very well to victims of abuse whose abusers are family members, and are told to forgive them in order to keep everything together, for another example.
i believe that hate and anger get a bad rap. they are negative emotions, but they don't exist without reason. no one likes to think this because they're not very pretty emotions and lead to confrontation- but sometimes that confrontation needs to be met, like in situations where someone hurt another person, and the victim is expected to forgive.
... sorry this got kinda unnecessary. it's something i feel pretty strongly about.
