Description
The Mining Guild, a subsidiary of the parent company Commerce Guild had created a huge variety of probing and mining droids, ore crawlers and other vehicles for their business. One of these specialized vehicles was the four legged Mining Guild Drill Droid (MGDD) that was originally used as a vehicle by organic crews, but the deeper their probing and mining got, the more the Mining Guild switched to droid workers, until finally, the MGDD was designed as a fully automatized droid that even could divide dirt from raw ore and partly preprocess them before returning to a Mining Guild factory. During the Clone Wars, the MGDD then suddenly saw itself in a much different role, digging tunnels on Geonosis, Castell, Escarte, Felucia, Mooga and Monntooine to secretly connect Separatist factories or bunkers deep underground, allowing their Battle Droid Armies to move, even if the Galactic Republic dominated the system space and orbit of a world. To do so many of the mining equipment of the MGDD and other tunneling vehicles and droids were replaced by transport space for organic forces or battle droids themselves to be transported securely and secretly. This allowed the Mining Guild to surprisingly pop up behind the enemy lines, break the Republic defenses or destroy their bases and supply lines nearly everywhere on a world. The only problem to the MGDD was that the Mining Guild and the Commerce Guild often only had civil, or partly civil transports to relocate a huge amount of MGDD, because their Recusant-class Commerce Guild destroyers and Diamond-class cruisers were not made to transport large numbers of MGDD. Most of them, like the Mining Guild itself, therefore could only be found along the Perlemian Trade Route, the Esstran Sector, the Ash Worlds, Dac, the Suolriep Sector, the Iotra Sector, the Kessel Sector, the Octos Sector, the Brema Sector, Seswenna Sector and Garis Sector and not on other Separatist Worlds.
After the Attack on Coruscant and the worsening of Republic-Imperial relations, a certain Chiss commander, known as Thrawn had a special project in mind. He knew that beside his own continued building and arming of his Imperial Remnant Army and Navy he had to massively weaken that of his opposing enemies too. However even after the Clone Wars had ended, both the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems heavily secured their vehicles, weapons and other supplies and while the Black Sun and the Zann Consortium managed to get their hands on a few minor ships, battle droid forces and fleets. However Thrawn also wished for most of his build-up to remain hidden and unnoticed and so he used some rather unusual strategies and tactics. That was why he now secretly targeted the nearby Mining Guild facilities south of the Imperial Remnants. He knew the Separatism Alliance had Droch-class boarding ships and Trident-class assault ships, but that they were either well protected, or their stealing would cause to much unwanted attention. So because of this Thrawn targeted the Mining Guild Drill Droids (MGDD) when the Galactic Republic started to go to war with the Thyferra Dominion because of the Bacta Shortage and the Fight over Galactic City before. This posed as a perfect distraction for Thrawns plans, however he still faced someone he would not have assumed to step in his way in the Mining Guild facility. Maul's apprentice, Darth Bravos was there on behalf of the Black Sun, who had some business with the Mining Guild by either legal contracts, or by bribing or blackmailing them in some way or another. Easily dealing with his Imperial Stormtrooper Elite, by either cutting them in half with her lightsaber, or crushing them with her massive hammer, she lifted with the help of the force. However, when Darth Bravos tried to push Thrawn against a wall with the force too, he did not move a inch. Unknown to her, the Chiss Commander had recently acquired a Ysalamiri as he had heard that this furry, lizard-like tree-dwellers of about 50 centimeters in length native to the planet Myrkr, were used by the Mandalorians because of their ability to repel the Force by creating a Force-neutral bubble. Stunend for a second, Bravos then tried to assault Thrawn in close-combat with either her lightsaber, or the Hammer she wielded with the help of the force. Thrawn however had none of that and shot her with a stunner, as he knew it was one of the few weapons a Jedi, force-user or skilled lightsaber wielder could not reflect back at him.
