Description

Sniper Droideka/ Sniper Droid:

The sniper droideka, more commonly known as the sniper droid, was a sniper variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed for urban warfare in a city where the droid could easily conceal itself, the sniper droideka was equipped with a single heavy blaster rifle rather than paired dual blaster cannons seen on standard droideka models; neither was it equipped with a deflector shield generator. Instead, the rounded plate that served as their rolling surface was able to fold down over their face with a small slot that they could aim and fire through. The plate was armored and was resistant to blaster fire, however, the plate only protected their front and left their sides vulnerable. Their rate of fire was also slower, but provided much more penetrating power. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate. They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic. A pair of such droids were used during the Batte of Kiros. They were used to defend a bomb from enemies, these being Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. Initially, the two Jedi attempted to deflect their weapon fire back at the droids but their front sections were armored to protect them from such an attack. However, Jedi General Skywalker determined that the droids lack such protection on their sides which saw him and his Padawan deflect the sniper droid fire at their sides thus destroying them. Like all droideka it was build by Colicoid Creation Nest.

Laser Cannon Droideka/ Laser Cannon Droid:

The laser cannon droideka, more commonly known as the laser cannon droid, was a laser cannon variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed to counter or even ambush enemy bunkers and tanks as a sort of artillery this bigger and more heavy variation of the sniper droideka was used as a fast, mobile laser cannon. Often groups of laser cannon droideka would work together as artillery battalions. The laser cannon droideka was equipped with a single light or heavy laser cannon rather than the heavy blaster used by the sniper variation but it also lacked the deflector shield generator. Instead, the rounded plate that served as their rolling surface was able to fold down over their face with a small slot that they could aim and fire through. The plate was armored and was resistant to blaster fire, however, the plate only protected their front and left their sides vulnerable. The plate also was not able to withstand enemy tanks and artillery, so the laser cannon droideka had to be shielded and protected against heavy enemy fire by supporting forces or terrain. Their rate of fire was also very slow, because it had to charge for such a huge blast to provide enough penetrating power against enemy tanks and bunkers. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate. They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic. Three different variation of this model were created, the biggest one (as big as a Ultra Droideka) later serving as the Artillery Droideka.

Rocket Droideka/ Rocket Droid/ Tank Terror Droid:

The rocket droideka, more commonly known as the rocket droid, or the tank terror droid was a rocket variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed to counter enemy targets (often bunkers and tanks) this evolution of the laser cannon droideka focused on rockets instead of the laser cannon. Still as mobile this allowed the rocket droideka a faster fire and reloading rate then the laser cannon model, when a Battle Droid or loader droid helped it to load more missiles or when it was additionally equipped with a rocked clip (eight to sixteen missiles with a automatized loading mechanism). Used in squad groups, together with other Separatist forces or as single ambushes, this droids could be equipped with a additional deflector shield generator, just like the normal droideka, because they did not need their reactor to power their weapon. Additionally a rounded plate that served as their rolling surface was able to fold down over their face with a small slot that they could aim and fire through. The plate was armored and was resistant to blaster fire, but the plate only protected their front and left their sides vulnerable. The plate also was not able to withstand enemy tanks and artillery, so the rocket droideka dependent heavily on it's shield. Still the rocked droideka had a very destructive power against enemy targets. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate. They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic.

Missile Droideka/ Missile Droid:

The missile droideka, more commonly known as the missile droid was a rocket variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed to counter enemy targets (often bunkers and tanks - even targets as big as a AT-TE could be destroyed with one missile) this evolution of the rocket droideka focused on big missiles instead of rockets alone. Still as mobile this allowed the missile droideka a faster fire and reloading rate with it's big missile launcher, when a Battle Droid or loader droid helped it to load more missiles or when it was additionally equipped with a missile clip (with a automatized loading mechanism). The plate also was not able to withstand enemy tanks and artillery, so the missile droideka dependent heavily on it's shield. Still the missile droideka had a very destructive power against enemy targets. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate, even more so because their missile launcher used heat-seeking missiles (four to eight in total with a missile clip). They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic.

Mortar Droideka/ Mortar Droid:

The mortar droideka, more commonly known as the mortar droid was a mortar variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed to bombard enemy positions and targets this evolution of the rocket droideka focused on shooting grenades at the enemy instead of rockets and missiles. Still as mobile this allowed the mortar droideka a faster fire, reloading and re-position rate with it's mortar, when a Battle Droid or loader droid helped it to load more missiles or when it was additionally equipped with a missile clip (twenty to forty, sometimes even eighty grenades in it, with a automatized loading mechanism). Used alone or in small groups, together with other Separatist forces or as fortified position, this droids could be equipped with a additional deflector shield generator, just like the normal droideka, because they did not need their reactor to power their weapon. Additionally a rounded plate that served as their rolling surface was able to fold down over their face with a small slot that they could aim and fire through. The plate was armored and was resistant to blaster fire, but the plate only protected their front and left their sides vulnerable. The plate also was not able to withstand enemy tanks and artillery, so the missile droideka dependent heavily on it's shield. Still the mortar droideka had a very destructive power against enemy targets. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate. They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic.

Artillery Droideka:

The artillery droideka, more commonly known as the artillery droid was a artillery variation of droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Designed as big a Ultra Droideka and as a heavy evolution of the Laser Cannon, or the Mortar Droideka, they bombard enemy positions and targets. Still as mobile as a regular droideka (but not quiet as fast), this allowed the artillery droideka a faster re-position rate and a normal artillery fire rate, when a Battle Droid or loader droid helped it to load more missiles or when it was additionally equipped with a missile clip (eight sometimes up to forthy, with a automatized loading mechanism). Used alone or in small artillery brigades, together with other Separatist forces or as fortified position (often in bunkers), this droids lacked the droidekas were also equipped with a additional deflector shield generator, just like the normal droideka, but their sheer size limited the run time of their shields greatly to a short amount of time, or heavy enemy fire. This meant that they often needed entrenched positions, shields or bunkers to further defend themselves against enemy fire or bombardment. As one of the heaviest and deadliest droideka variations the costs of the artillery droideka were enormous and only few were produce. They were designed with a highly advanced targeting computer and were extremely accurate. They were capable of speaking in both binary and basic.

No, more in the idea of a small CIS AAT tank weapon (with slower reload time).

I wonder how they manage to wheel around with all those armaments.

Mainly falt them away untill they have the Droideka wheel form and fold parts into one another when not using them.
