Komus Iulp was a Kage, member of were a pale-skinned sentient species native to the caverns in the planet of Quarzite. In their species long-time conflict with the Belugans that opposed them he became a warrior. Dedicated to his cause with excellent physics, he was a tireless and elite fighter, who used a electro sward, but also was a capable unarmed combatant. While he would rise a multi-legged milodon and assaulted a Belugan stronghold, when their security guards captured him and sold him off-world as a slave. Ending up in the hands of a Neimoidean of the Trade Federation as a servant, he was made a member of his auxiliary guard after the Neimoidean heard about his warrior life before and encouraged him to serve his own forces. During this time he learned how to work and operate on a Trade Federation ship and soon used his previous experience to help them aid against space pirate attacks which would lead him to become a security officer for the Trade Federation local security guards and crew, as well as their labor droid and battle droid ones alike. When the Clone Wars started he hoped to get the Neimoidean-lead Trade Federation and the Separatist Alliance, the Confederacy of Independent Systems to fight the Belugans on their behalf and join with the Kage, but in order to get them to agree to that, he had to first prove himself to the Separatist Cause by leading attacks on the Galactic Republic’s Trade Routes to the Belugans with his Diomond II Class Cruiser as a form of Separatist Privateer, leading to the Republic Navy having to lend Clone Troopers as security forces even to civil ships in the sector in hopes of protecting them against the increased piracy. During one of the fights he had during this boarding parties, a Blaster shot would nearly kill him, but only graze his head, blowing off his ear, so he was in need of a cybernetic replacement. Ever since Kage Commander Komus Iulp himself became a little more cautious when boarding enemy civil and military ships and instead chooses to send in Battle Droids first. A decision that later would also lead to his survival during the Droid Uprising and Droid Rebellion, when the attacking droids were majorly on his enemies ship and he quickly cut off the connection between both ships to leave them and the Republic armed civil transport to their own fate while he and his organic space pirate crew fought the few remaining activated droids on their ship and escaped the best they could.

Their survival would lead them to later aid the Confederacy against the uprising droids, by implementing the same hit-and-run tactics and strategies against the droid supply lines, he had before used against the Republic. As some of them seamed illogical and confusing to the droids, they struggled hart to oppose such irregular approaches to warfare. He later would serve them further as a Bacta smuggler during the increasing Bacta shortage that would later lead to the Bacta War. Thanks to his cybernetic ear, that also served as a secret communication devise he could speak freely and unnoticed with his crew without talking out loud even when police, security or regular naval forces boarded his ship to search it for contraband and smuggling goods of all sorts. This knowledge about Bact and smuggling later lead him to have a more prominent role during the Bacta War, when he helped the Separatist Navy and Army plan an unsuspected attack on the Bacta producing world of Thyferra to secure their own supply of Bacta. But while he was part of the Battle of Thyferra with his ship and crew, his main target during these battle was to steal Bacta supply, as well as some of the machines and resources to produce it, in the hopes that this might help the Confederacy of Independent Systems to secure their own supply for Bacta in the near future, while the Battle was also meant to cripple the Republic and Imperial supply of Bacta from Thyferria. The overall plan was a partly success in the eyes of Count Dooku and overall strengthened the position of the Confederacy, that had been crippled much more severely then the Republic and the Imperial Remnants by the rebellion and uprising of the majority of it’s droid forces and lead to the start of the Separatists own Clone and Cyborg Army and Navy to replace the Battle Droid ones that no one now trusted any longer after the droids had went on a rampage to annihilate all organics, even including organic civilians on the worlds they had conquered.
