Cranium Snail

The Cranium Snail is a large cephalopod-like monster. It uses a special organ in the middle of its shell to levitate, which is referred to as a Pearl. The pearl is a tightly knit cluster of neurons, which allow the chanium snail to affect the physical areas near it. Such as moving itself aloft at a snail's pace.

While the ‘’flotation’’ ability is considered common among ‘’Psychic’’ monsters. And indeed many other cephalopod-like monsters can use a similar ability. The cranium snail is, however, the only currently know monster to have it’s ‘’psychic’’ powers, generated by a wholly unique organ. Instead of those powers being the result of another organs activity (Brain, guts, etc), as is the case in other monsters.

The cranium snail’s only line of defense against attackers is the vibrant neurotoxin coating on its shell. Which upon ingestion cause severe and long lasting brain damage, in mammals. The Monster generates this poison in it’s spit, which is harmless in liquid form. Using it’s eye stalks the cranium snail soaks most of its shell with it, leaving the front of its shell uncovered, so it doesn’t poison itself.
