After months of saying "Not enough...," this belt is FINALLY finished! Silver satin is gathered and bunched together, and layered over it is a yard of embellished trim, featuring embroidery, crystals, clear and silver seed beads, silver bells, bugle beads, glass pearls, black and silver sequins, metallic velvet, and more. Each end of the belt has a silver colored metal bangle I found at a vintage shop, along with heavily beaded medallions, with glass pearls, crystals, and rhinestones, metallic thread, and authentic coins, each surrounded by ruffles of black satin. The center back of the belt has a metal focal point from which dangle three bugle-beaded black tassels, and between the medallions and focal point are drapes made of glass pearls and coins.

The belt is, from tip of ring to tip of ring, 34 inches. The clasp I made for it adds about 2 inches. The clasp is a third, smaller medallion, surrounded by a small silver satin ruffle, that simply has hooks to 'catch' each of the rings with. A length of wide grosgrain ribbon, in black, will come with the belt, just in case the clasp makes the belt too big.

After completing the belt, and making the clasp, I still felt that something was missing. So I made a matching headband, using much of the same beads and crystals, and a matching string of coins and glass pearls, with a cascade of chainette in black and silver over the ear.

I would like to thank my two daughters, Zoe(13) and Rhys(5) for modeling the belt and headband for me. Both of them were very reluctant to hand anything back!
