My first original painting. It's kind of a disaster, but doing this was a learning experience XDIf I try this one again, I would have to accommodate it to my skill level. I think I would make the deck brown. I would also make the background trees fainter, so I could paint the sunflowers on top.
Done in watercolor. Personal photo reference used.

I don't think it's a disaster at all. The red flowers really pop and actually the white deck creates a nice contrast to the dark treeline and helps bring out the red. I like that it's so summer-y.
