Description
When creating a byte, you choose two types for it. The combination of those two
types then creates a new type, a type combination. With these combinations, comes new
attacks that your byte can learn. But that doesn't mean that your byte has to resemble the
combination. Β That is your own choice to make. Here is a chart that shows all
the different combinations of types.

Death makes sense for poison+poison but not good as a type. I mean a death type kinda seems just a little too badass a type.
Why motion for sand+sand?
I think I want something that sounds stronger for electric+electric than current.

I know what you mean. It's potentially overpowered. In my version of your chart, I also put in decay for poison+poison. It could be too similar to rotten for plant+ghost, but I couldn't think of anything else good for that.
Sand is very loose and moveable, that's all. It slips through and doesn't really stick to stuff (unless wet). I figured a sand+sand byte would have to be like that. Desert is also a possibility.
Lightning is actually probably best for electric+electric, but I put that for electric+earth. Battery could work for electric+earth.
Some of these are very hard to think about. Electric+ice is a tough one. In my personal element charts like this, I sometimes go for more abstract ideas. Blackout for electric+dark is sort of strange. Most ghost combinations are likely to lean towards abstract or conceptual things since it's the only non-physical type up there.

Here are some suggestions:
Ice+earth= permafrost
earth+electric = glass
fire+light = sacred fire(?) idk (healing fire maybe?)
air+air= tornado
air+electric= thunder (I saw you wrote flash, this is just another suggestion)
sand+metal= chrome
earth+dark= cave (or simply subterranean)
I'll make a longer list and send it via note when I get home (and I'll also try to write something for the other list).

Cosmic and earth should be Planet
Dark and Sound should be Whisper or Boom
Sand and Plant - Tropic
Fire and poison - chemical flame
fire and ghost - will o the whisp
Electric and Light - Illumination
Earth and Metal - Ore
Earth and Ice - Permafrost
that's just some ideas

Just unsure of why you think electric + plant = photosynthesis? Not light + plant?

because I hadn't noticed light yet, haha
Plant and Electricity can be biofuel

Because of your comment, I actually learned something new today. I did not know there was technology that could get electricity from photosynthesis.

Ho ho?
Mostly I was thinking ATP which is chemical energy, sort of like how electricity is energy.
