Description
Human version of this character. Making her for a fighting game idea similar to Guilty Gear - yeah, I know, she looks like Ramlethal, that was the point. Hell, it was the point of the original Sonic character too
. I wanted a BETTER, non bullshit version. Just sick of the moe shit getting into GG lately, along with the silly personified items and 'buddies' that the creators give them - seriously Daisuke? You gave her stupid ball bats to carry her swords? I ALMOST took her design seriously. Anyway, Sophia acts nothing like Ramlethal, and having watched the anime for a character I want to model her personality for, I'd like her to act more like Quan from RaXephon - cept not retarded. The Sonic counterpart is a bit more snotty and regal, so yeah, they can't be thought of as the exact same character at that ponit.Sonic Version: sonic-quantum.deviantart.com/a…
I've not drawn on a computer in a long time, and I needed some practice. Took me 2 days to draw this, being that I was never satisfied with the outline that I drew, thinking I was taking too long to draw it when I should have no difficulty at all at my level. Many elements came into play here, since my original comp kinda died out, and they are listed as follows:
A. Depression IS REAL, son. I don't know how many times while I was drawing did I feel my mind just shut the fuck off and I should've relied on pure creativity rather than uniformity. It just wouldn't work.
B. I'm on a new setup. I'm trying to mimic my computer desk but it's not the greatest, and feels weird.
C. Drawing rust. Kinda not sure about this one, because I was drawing just fine on paper, but then I go back to digital artwork and .... this shit happens. :\
D. Sai just won't cooperate. Being that this comp has a different display setting, it seems I have trouble finding the correct zoom that helps me keep everything in proportion, which leads me to
E. I kept drawing either too big or too small for the canvas. WTF
F. Frustration. I should draw a pose outline in a minute or 3 flat. NAZE DA!??!

well from reading all those reasons , here my conclusions : you got a fine base there , and it only takes a bit more extra effort to ink it and then color which would make a huge difference.
and other than that , as i said , its a greate base , so im not sure what you're complaining about

I know what you mean though..about shutting down while trying to draw. I couldn't get anything done last year. It..well, wasn't entirely because I wasn't in the mood. Rather..online gaming is taking over my spare time. I am not proud.OTL

Nice character, blue tones always looks good on women and yellow with dark skin tones.
I can relate with everything you listed, I don't know how the fuck one can get out of that besides manage to get shit done in this state. I have been on treatment for various mental disorders but the only thing they did for me was dumbing me down. I recently left all that shit and now im feeling much more energic and I can draw properly again, now I only have to deal with a completely unstable mood, wich never was too stable to begin with.

Well, you're at least not like me. I voiced all my concerns with my userbase, and practically lost anyone from the musclegirl community as a potential customer for commissions - and I don't feel sorry one bit, because those bastards aren't loyal or worth my time anyway. You'd probably find out very quickly just how little faith a lot of deviants will have in you despite the fact that your'e going through a rough time. Got to have a stable job rather than rely on some of these losers for money. You'd have just fallen even further into depression.
Exercise and stretching helps you out a bit. You may want to see a doctor/chiropractor to see if you have migraines (they don't always hurt, and they can really shit up your mood). Also, and this is weird too, as in my experience, I've found that your neck bones and or the way you posture yourself can really have an impact on your mood. Since going to the chiropractor, I've gotten a LOT better with dealing with mood swings. You might notice I don't troll half as much as I used to anymore.

Absolutely. Truth be told, art is not a solution for any problem, in any case is a source for more problems but if if you have vocation for it you won't be satisfied for anything else. Indeed you need to have all your shit together before you dedicate to art, trying to aply art as a solution on itself is what leads to so many depressed suicidal artists.

Thanks. Needless to say, she'll look a lot better with a bit more motivation to actually finish. Normally, colored roughs like this take about 30 minutes to an hour. How the hell did this take 2 days!?
