Description
... of sorts xDFull view to, you know, be able to see it xD
I've had a few people asking me about eyes and the likes, since I tend to always colour them even of the picture is monochromatic, and felt like I'd see if I could put a guide of a kind together to explain it, especially as I've used countless tutorials on dA to get to where I am right now.
This is by no means a perfect guide (as it's pretty scruffy) and it's definitely not realistic! It's just there for people to take bits and pieces from as they wish, or purely inspiration. You can stop following the guides at any point, jump parts if you already know how to get the shape or base colours down, just generally do with it as you wish C:
I use PS CS6, but I used to do it with PS6, so it should work on pretty much everything. If there's anything I've missed off, since I'm pretty poor at explaining things, don't hesitate to ask. And if you do have a go at taking anything from this, lemme know or show me, since I'd love to have a look :3 (and I'll also link to them in this image ^^)
Grayson's always wanted to a GQ model/cover guy, but I think this will have to satisfy him for the time being ;D

See, this is part of what I love about dA. The tutorials. Ive found that a lot of peoples styles tend to take little bits and pieces from artists they admire, and mix it in with their own little flourishes until they have something unique. And tutorials only help that process even more. It IS always interesting to see how others do things too.

I love looking at tutorials, even if I never use them all the way through. Like I said, and you say, I just end up taking bits and pieces from others to make something different. It helps more that way I'd say, because you're learning for yourself :3

Exactly. Even if at most you just take some small thing away from it, it's still something.

They're dermal implants that relate to some of the tech that he has - specifically EMP shielding :3 It's kind of both advertising of the place he had the work done, while being practical at the same time. He's a near-future based character, so his design is a little cyberpunky in a way.
