"The power of the mind - I wish I could read your mind" was the concept I chose to look into for my latest Illustration course assignment. It's depicting how the world can be seen through a child's eyes. His innocence and imagination is what's protecting him from the harsh surroundings of reality.
30+ hours in Photoshop 7.

words can not convey how much I like this picture. It truly speaks to the heart of any who have had to use their own imaginations to escape from 'the harshenss of reality', as you said.
very very nicely done...

That is astounding. I simply adore it and the meaning behind the picture. I do have one question tho is that cloud supposed to look like it's looking at the child? or am I the only one that sees it......anyway, could you go check out my site when you have time? Love your icon btw. Simpsons rock.

Hehe, it can be interpreted however you want No one has commented on the clouds yet, but now that you have mentioned it.... they do look quite daunting!
Sure, i'll check out your page. Go Simpsons! Hehe

I can really relate to this picture when things like that happen. There's times I do not wanna deal with reality and I'll be like the little boy, I'll use my imagination to protect me from all the real things that are happening in the world. It's a really nice picture, the idea of it is just amazing.

Well done, I have to say that even if I don't like the style I have to appreciate the quality ans simbolism behind this.. if I think about it this "Childrens ilustration book" style kind of fits pretty good to what you wanted to say, once again, well done.

What an absolutely terrific image. I love the idea and the image itself. The details in particular are wonderful, like the helicopter, bear's falling out button eye, and the grass seeping out of the globe.
I'm a realist myself, but there's always hope. The grass seeping out of the globe, but the outside debris' inability to get inside seems to display that. That one girl's imaginative glove could "infect" the whole destroyed world.
Terrific image in so many ways,

Daily Deviation Bashing We do not tolerate offensive commentary, or remarks leading towards the disagreement with a deviation selected as a feature, as a comment on a deviation that is selected as a Daily Deviation. While we do encourage feedback regarding our selections we will take immediate administrative action on any individual that complains about a particular deviation being chosen as a Daily Deviation. After all, it is not fair to the artist to have to read such disparaging comments when they had absolutely no say in the selection of their deviation as a feature. If you want to voice your dislike for the choice then do so by sending a private note to the administrator that featured that particular Daily Deviation.

Sorry that you're an immature whiny prick, but there's nothing to be done about it
And that wasnt a critique. Stating a negative opinion for the single purpose of just stating it, is a flame. It's a very simple concept. But I dont draw for people like you though, (gee what a shame)...so if you dont like what you see, then stop commenting on this piece. That seems like a sensible thing to do.
And for the record...no. I'm not full of myself. But thanks for pointing that out to me

lol. i'm sorry. i was in sort of a pissed off mood when i wrote that crap, i'd just woken up..
and i did actually feel guilty & was going to apologize earlier but i got distracted.
let's all be friends, shall we?
i dont think it's that bad of a painting/drawing, by the way.
i'm just an arrogant, unknown artist who deserves 3000x the daily deviaitons i've gotten. ..(i've gotten zero...)
mmkay. bye.
