I really appreciate how you did the town, with that weird perspective, the depth feel is nicely done, I feel like the building we are on is really high and and the same time not so away from the ground (if that makes sens...), I think that effect is accentuated by the blur on the ground
What I prefer I think in this piece is the way you did the distant buildings, it feels so...well...real ^^° and the contrast it makes with the sky

I've just seen this and I really don't know what to say.. it's kind of made me sad, I have a tear drop glistening in the corner of my eye. It's the message, the colours that you've used throughout the painting, the way the person in the picture looks like they're grasping out to touch the apparition in front of them, yet they're still just out of reach. I like the weird perspective. I don't know wether or not it's intentional, but I like it. I've just looked at some of your other pieces and there are some more in a similar style which I also liked. I noticed on your id that you said you don't just draw anime, but in my opinion you should keep on with this kind of stuff. That's just my opinion though dear. I prefer this darker, symbolic art. I would give you an 8 out of 10 for this, perhaps even an 8 and a half!!

Mm I was a bit so-so about the 'ghost like' figure but I wanted the concept of the other person just to make the meaning slightly clearer
Yes that was intentional, I was trying for a slightly distorted feel to the whole image (like you can see in the sky) because a mixture of depression, heights and alcohol. So glad you noticed all this! Really it means so much to me that I got to someone
Yeah it's taken about a year, but I finally got out of the anime rut and ie started experimanting with my own style and much more personal work

Hi! I'm pleased you liked the comment. I must've posted it some time ago so I thought perhaps you'd not liked what I said (laughs). I love that picture and I put it in my favourites so it must've made an impression on me because I hardly have any favourites!! I'm so pleased that your doing art with your own style stamped upon it as opposed to going with what seems currently popular. It was a great piece of art and you are more then welcome my dear.
