I have no particular affinity to Sybok, but I thought it would be cute if when Spock was a baby and presumedly Sybok was not yet gone, he'd go out of his way to smile and show affection to Spock. Its funny how the purely Vulcan of the two ends up defying all logic (heh, literally XD), and the half Vulcan strives to be the most Vulcan-like Vulcan of them all- and usually succeeds.

I in no way know if that even remotely resembles older Sybok. I hadn't seen him since I'd watched the movie ages ago

Went with the typical animated series version of I-Chaya, though why anyone's summarized description of that great beasty would be a "big fat teddy bear" is truly beyond me..
