I think The Great Divide is so loathed because it was the one episode Nickelodeon loved to air all the time. Since it was so standalone.

Wow, "Jet" is worse than "The Great Divide" the most despised episode of the show for most of the fandom? I'm shocked.
For what it's worth, I kind of like "Jet" even if the main character is just a diversion for Katara. It's the first time that we see someone opposing the Fire Nation who's the bad guy, showing that even in war the lines between good and evil aren't always so obvious. Plus, it's a decent tale about a well intentioned extremist who believes the ends justify the means.

I find Jet to be jerkass and I hate when Aang and Katara doesn't believe the truth from Sokka.

I thought every season of The Last Airbender was amazing, but I'll PROBABLY say S1 was my favorite. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I will say "Jet" was probably my least favorite as well or maybe "The Great Divide". I liked "Bato of the Water Tribe" if anything the fight between Aang and Zuko was pretty good.
