Again, I thought EVERY season of TLAB was amazing, I know I said S1 might PROBABLY be my favorite, but really all three are probably on the same level, so it's hard to choose.
My favorite...It's hard to pick since S2 gave so many good episodes. For the time being, I'll say a 4-way tie between
- Crossroads of Destiny
- Appa's Lost Days
- Serpent's Pass + The Drill
- Cave of the Two Lovers
Least Favorite
- Avatar Day or The Swamp. Avatar Day gave us a little more info on Kyoshi, but that unbelievably biased town.... The Swamp did a nice job in setting up for Toph, but I could at times skip this episode. Zuko Alone was good too, but I just can't stand that ending. Like a little gratitude wouldn't hurt, Zuko didn't have to help that family get their son back, but did so anyway and he gets thanked with hatred.

The annoying part is that the town being ungrateful jerks played a part in Zuko's development with him seeing how hated the Fire Nation was.
Avatar Day was at least funny, but that is about all I can say in it's favor.

I know the episode was phenomenal in developing Zuko's character, but I still can't get over how ungrateful that child and his mother were. The kid looked at him with admiration, Zuko taught him how to properly use swords in a fight, and didn't rat him out to those Earth Kingdom bozos who were abusing their power and saved him from them only to be told he's hated. Just I can't get over that. Fantastic episode overall, but that one part still urks me now 10 or so years later.

I didn't care that ending either.

Like I'm not expecting them roll out the red carpet or talk about how they're indebted to him for what he did, but a little gratitude would've been fine, especially considering he made no attempt at being violent with them despite being from the Fire Nation.

I figure they could have been shocked that someone from the Fire Nation helped them. Then they accidentally made some insensitive racist comments about the people of the Fire Nation like "You aren't like them" and it drives Zuko away.

I honestly would've took that over what we got. It'd be better than just the sheer hatred/ingratitude they showed him for what he did for them.
