BRING BRING BRIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!

"Ugh" you groaned.You smashed the top of your clock to turn it off.

"Morning all ready? Geez time flies, heh five more minutes wouldn't hurt" and with that you curled up under your covers and rolled over. And fell on the floor. Stretching as you got up you said

"Okay, okay universe I get it you want me to get up"

After that you started getting ready. 'Clothes, check; Hair, check; Teeth brushed and ready to go!' you thought. Now down the stairs for breakfast!

"Oh hi honey! For once your up and ready! Wait..up and ready? Who are you and what have you done with my daughter?!" she held out a frying pan menacingly. You just snorted at her joke.

"By the way honey an odd boy came by too bring back a textbook of yours last night. You were asleep so I let him in your room to put it away. He wanted me to give you this note." she held out a little slip of paper. You grabbed it out of her hands and shoved it away.

"Wow mom you let an 'odd boy' who you've never seen before into your own daughters room? I saw you were cautious"

"Actually I saw him walk home with you earlier, so I figured he was your boyfriend"

"Mom! It was my first day of school!"

"I know, but I bet all the boys are wanting a piece of-"

"Mom! I'm leaving bye!" you hurried out the door.

----------------------------Time skip to school!--------------------------

The school yard was deserted. 'I wonder where everyone is' you thought as you pulled the doors to enter the school. It didn't budge. You pulled harder. It didn't move. You went at this for about a good ten minutes before realizing it was a push door.

"God, I'm such an idiot sometimes..."

You walked in and there was still nobody there. You walked around a bit before finding a teacher. Knocking on their door like the, ahem, 'polite' person you are, your art teacher was extremely surprised to see you.

"Ms.(l/n)! I never thought of you as a morning person!" You were dumbfounded.

"What..."

"It's six thirty, you're a here an hour early. The only person who's here this early is Mr. Vantas, whose in the debate room if you're looking for him" You thanked her and quickly tried to find him. As you were walking you remembered the note he left you. You shuffled through your bag to find it.

Dear (Name),

I have found that a textbook of yours fell out of your book bag as you were walking home. I found it on my way back, and by the time it night had fallen. Your mother let me into your room and I placed it on what I assumed to be your bedside table. I also found that your clock was fast so I sped it up to one hour earlier than the correct time, because you strike me as a person who is usually late to her appointments.

'I'm gonna kill that bastard' you thought as you crumpled the paper in your fist.

Finally you found the debate room, whith Kankri in it. And he was....taking to the chairs. Well some things never change. You pressed your ear against the door and listened in on him.

"And I find that more students of a more quiet nature are more to be acquainted with the arts, and in so, happier. This schools population is mostly made of these people and I want to show support of them and thus bringing in more funds for the art programs."

'He wanted to bring in more money for art? I can't believe it! I wonder if it'll work, I mean he is very persuasive and h-' as you finishing your last thought the door opened and you tumbled in to meet a rather upset Kankri.

"You know eavesdropping is very triggering and is very rude, now I could go on and lecture you on ways you could be punished and the consequences of your actions or I could help you up. Which would you prefer?" he held out his hand and you thankfully grabbed it.

"So, Kanny are you really gonna try to get the art program more funds?" he put his hand under his chin and looked up like he was deep in thought.

"Well as president of the student council we were going to discuss this as well as on the debate team"

"Which, let me guess, you're the president of?"

"Correct" It went quiet until you did something he was not expecting. You slapped him.

"What the hell was that for!?" he yelled.

"First thank you for returning my book for my, and second that was for setting my alarm early with out telling me" he grumbled some curses to himself as he rubbed his cheek.

"C'mon I didn't slap you that hard!" he was still kinda mad so you walked up to him and gave him a peck on the check.

"There. All better now?"Kankri just looked at you with a blank expression. You flailed your arms in his face and he didn't move. Sighing, you took a seat and began writing fanfiction of your OTP. You heard him mumble something about a 'good trigger', that made you blush.

After a while of writing you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned to see Kankri.

"We need to go to homeroom now"

"Okay" You picked up your stuff and walked out, chatting with him. You two chatted about a random assortment of things, from food to school events. Once you got to the class room you sat next to each other and continued your conversation until class started.

You went to go to the library to meet Kankri again for lunch, but you were stopped in the hallway.

"So, are you the little feral dog that messed with my boyfriend?" it was some random girl who looked like a stereotypical mean cheerleader.

"If your 'boyfriend' is that idiot that bullied me first than yes" she just gave a frown.

"Then I guess I'm gonna teach you a lesson" You just smirked

"Bring it on" The girl threw a punch and while you dodged another girl came up from behind you and pulled you to the ground. A few more girls came and started repeatedly kicking you in the stomach. You couldn't get up.

"Ow!"

"Watch it!" Two girls were pushed over. You opened your eyes to see someone defending you. Suddenly you saw the red sweatered person come crashing down.

"Now get the hell out freak!" they yelled to him. But he just stood back up with his arms out reached, blocking you from the beatings.

"You all leave (Name) alone! She was protecting me and has never deserved this!"

They stopped and ran off mumbling things like 'We are coming back to finish you' or 'You'll pay for this' and things of the sort.

Kankri turned around and bent down to you, while you where huddled in the fetal position.

"(N-name) are you alright?"

"Yeah, just peachy" you mumbled.

"We need to get you to the nurses office-

"Kankri, I'm fine. Really." you tried to stand up and did, but you stumbled a little.

"Y-you're bleeding"

You forced a smile."Its just a few bruises and cuts."

"Now, are we gonna go to lunch or-

"(Name), you can't just pretend you weren't bullied! You need to get help and if its not from the nurse than fine" he took your hand and led you away.

Kankri took you to a big oak behind the school. He sat you down and started taking out bandages and gauze.

"Do you normally carry around medical supplies?" he just smiled.

"Remember when you always got beat up and had to much pride to see the nurse?" you puffed out your cheeks and pouted.

"No" he just laughed.

"Well I do, I always had to patch you up and when you were gone I carried the stuff around by habit" you held up your arm as he wrapped you up.After he finished he just sat back against the tree.

"Are you sure that you're okay? That must have been a very triggering moment"

"I'm fine. And even better know that I know you care" You two sat there in silence as you just watched the clouds go bye. You pointed up.

"That one looks like a cat" Kankri looked at you with a confused face.

"What are you doing?"

"What? Have you never looked at the clouds to see what shapes they make?"

"Well no. Clouds are just water condensed into a formation of that stripe. They don't have any real shape to them than the random puff"

"Kanny! Use your imagination" And you made a rainbow with your hands at the word imagination. He looked up and quietly tried to picture the 'random puff' as....well, a something.

"That one looks like... a rock?" You sighed.

"Its a start at least."
