Description
I finally did that .gif animation tutorial I told my friend I would make. I hope it helps somebody out there. Here's "Blinking Ninetales ."EDIT 12/27/11: Redone. Hope that's a little easier on the eyes.

I'm trying to upload a gif. picture about a animated pumpkin, but it kept saying "Sorry, we cannot use this file for deviation submission. It requires a separate preview image." and it's 10KB

Are you sure it's an animated gif? And I haven't submitted one in a while, so it may be that you need a non-animated picture for the small preview or whatever, so I'd try that too. Sorry about that!

I just figured out;
if gif. file is 150x150 or bigger, I need to use different 149-x149- gif. file or jpg. file or png. file to put it in there as preview. I'm a little confused. Thanks for help. Better too late than never, right?

Can you help me out please? I did everything as it was displayed in this tutorial, but my eye animation won't blink. I've seriously followed every step... :/
What did I do wrong?

this will come in handy for when I decide to make an animated icon for my DA account. I think I'll add it to my collection.

Me too. C:
I previously used iaza.com which is really annoying if you want something to blink only every once in a while..

Is it giving you an error message or anything?

I don't know what to tell you there. Try Gimper.NET

Thank you very much for this tutorial, I used it to make an animated avatar (but it still took about 1 hour).

Thank you very much for this tutorial! Could you please help me a little more?
After I have finish my gif and when I want to open it, it opens a Internet explorer window. (and since I have Mozilla Firefox it doesn't work...) And it doesn't work either when I try to open with something else... Do you know what is wrong?
Many thanks if you have time to answer!

Windows, right? It doesn't want to open it in a normal picture-preview window, so it opens it in the browser--the default for the machine is to open animated .gifs in IE. If you open My Pictures (or wherever this picture is saved), right click the image and click Properties at the bottom of the menu. It'll say the name of it, the file type, etc., and "Opens With:" and an IE logo, most likely. Click the "Change..." button next to it and select Mozilla Firefox. (Good choice! Death to IE! XD) See if that doesn't fix your problem.

well to draw over it, you use the pencil, and to erase erase it, use the eraser and check the "hard edge" box.
