Yay! Colored... er.. sorta. Still playing with it. I just got my Prisma colored pencils back and I'm still trying to get the hang of them. So that means the poor gulo gets subjected to subpar coloring.Though most character doodles I like to keep them suspended in a world of white limbo.. I'll have to do a background or something on this one. Just to help clean it up and ... set it.. or something.

So few draw them.... because so few even know what it is! I was at a powwow doodling that 'Windswept' gulo thing... after telling some one it was a wolverine, I was asked if I made that up.
No... Marvel Comics had it waaaay before me. -.-

WHoagh! You were asked this at a POW-WOW?! Man! I think the only people who know WHAT a wolverine is over here are those who attened a pow-wow!
And as for marvel- I know what you mean. THing is, in the old old old original verison, they had a story about how wolverine was a half native who was raise by wolverines- and they actually DREW the animal correctly! Not anymore though.

Aw well, I kinda like stepping back and letting folks drown in they're own stupidity. Actually, I find it nice that wolverines are still very unknown about in all the art and 'furry' groups. An extremely intelligent animal, one of the strongest mammals pound for pound, glorious fur, fierce and not at all lacking in courage, shy and secretive..... They'd be worse then how over done wolves/foxes are.
My excuse? I was raised by ferrets and have grown to be weasel obsessed. Yep.

Yah, that IS true. However, thier lack of popularity also is reason why there is very little effort to save them. It's sad that the survival of an entire species relaies on weather or not it's "cool" enough for it.

Yes, I was thinking that as I typed my last post... but never mentioned it. It is sad that there is hardly any study devoted to them. They certainly deserve it. But no... it's much easier to look the other way and allow the fur trade to continute. Lines pockets nicely in green.
