Description
A 'fan commission' for ~Horn-AdamaTwo rangers. An Elemental powered armor with sword drawn, and a specops soldier with battle rifle leveled. They have each others backs , ready for the swarm that is about to fall on them.
Thanks to everyone that watched in the streams, keeping me company and providing valuable critiques. And another thanks to Horn for the commission, without it this nice piece of work wouldn't have happened.
Fluff - The Shield Sword is a basic shield based weapon that was devised during the early testing of the mysterious new technology. It allowed the test deployment of shields in a simple device that could be used without implants.
No longer commonly used due to the restriction of shield material and advancement of dynamic internal battle armor shields. It is now only seen ceremonially or among a select few who have stuck to it's use, it still retains it's diversity as an easily deployed utility weapon. It can form a heat blade, defensive bubble or wall, and counter frequency fields and paths to better penetrate projectiles, or any other specialized form that is programmed in.

I think you have some really great ideas going on here. Nice composition! I really like the helmet visors and the armor designs. I think the stander's right arm is a little funky looking. You might straighten it out for better readability and stronger form. The silhouettes are interesting. Just be careful to keep the structures and components in your designs meaningful for better design. For example, the structures on the head of the stander are not completely clear with respect to what they are and look like they might get in his way. Maybe you could make them a little smaller and more aerodynamic, or delicate with the addition of some electrical components or antennae segments. Great work. Just take my opinions here with a grain of salt. Use what is useful to you and keep it up!

How much is it to get a commission done with two people in it like this with no background.

Depends on the designs and level of detail, maybeΒ around $240 or more.

The field is typically hot unless the user has refined them a lot, so you'd burn whatever you pull.

Not bad, though the shield effect is a bit over obscuring.

For some reason it's easier to draw characters than it is to write about them, wouldn't you agree?

true, i fail at completing storylines because I'm best at combat scenes (which i'm really good at) but drawing has always been easier for me

I've seen appleseed, but there eyes and fins thing that people always call to were designed before I saw any of it. So no reference.

I think I have never favorited your work, which I am really ashamed to say becuase I watched it since 2009 I think.
Your concept art is probably the best I've seen.
