Description
A 'fan commission' for ~Horn-AdamaTwo rangers. An Elemental powered armor with sword drawn, and a specops soldier with battle rifle leveled. They have each others backs , ready for the swarm that is about to fall on them.
Thanks to everyone that watched in the streams, keeping me company and providing valuable critiques. And another thanks to Horn for the commission, without it this nice piece of work wouldn't have happened.
Fluff - The Shield Sword is a basic shield based weapon that was devised during the early testing of the mysterious new technology. It allowed the test deployment of shields in a simple device that could be used without implants.
No longer commonly used due to the restriction of shield material and advancement of dynamic internal battle armor shields. It is now only seen ceremonially or among a select few who have stuck to it's use, it still retains it's diversity as an easily deployed utility weapon. It can form a heat blade, defensive bubble or wall, and counter frequency fields and paths to better penetrate projectiles, or any other specialized form that is programmed in.

Although i cant draw very well i often daydream, and in one of those many dreams i came up with an armor very much like the character on the left, i even imagined it equipped with a sword and small side arm to reduce wight to make room for psychic abilities. without getting super technical about it, i franticly searched the internet for someone with the same idea. Never did i ever expect to find something this close! Thank you, it is a truly epic picture! (and it deserves proper english, i just hope i don't sound like a total weirdo

I like the look of the sword, but how much thought have you put into the specs on it? For instance, how long can it be used continuously, and is it battery-powered in some way?

Yep, it's battery powered, the length of the handle containing the battery. Rather short duration, also depending on how it's used. An elemental could use it's mini reactor to recharge one though.

This to me shows the military at its most basic you go in strangers and soon become closer than family I love the armor its a good solid yet flexible suit the dark colors blend well
