Description
A 'fan commission' for ~Horn-AdamaTwo rangers. An Elemental powered armor with sword drawn, and a specops soldier with battle rifle leveled. They have each others backs , ready for the swarm that is about to fall on them.
Thanks to everyone that watched in the streams, keeping me company and providing valuable critiques. And another thanks to Horn for the commission, without it this nice piece of work wouldn't have happened.
Fluff - The Shield Sword is a basic shield based weapon that was devised during the early testing of the mysterious new technology. It allowed the test deployment of shields in a simple device that could be used without implants.
No longer commonly used due to the restriction of shield material and advancement of dynamic internal battle armor shields. It is now only seen ceremonially or among a select few who have stuck to it's use, it still retains it's diversity as an easily deployed utility weapon. It can form a heat blade, defensive bubble or wall, and counter frequency fields and paths to better penetrate projectiles, or any other specialized form that is programmed in.

Really the one you just did and the armor defeater rifle are the only proper designs i have. Most of the rest are just old versions of them.

It can be tough, gotta master perspective and shape definition. Crevices and popped out edges helps a lot.

Although, I cant help wonder what the guy on the left's helmet would look like without the fins sticking out.

Really cool pic. Very well lit. I really like the Elemental's interlocking armor on the lower torso. Flexibility and reasonable protection. I also like the joint rotators in the middle of the the upper arm. Looks strong and practical at the same time. Good job!

Yea a lot of designs have rigid arms, which would cause a lot of rubbing without proper sleeving.

And would lead to a lack of freedom of motion. I always put a rotator cuff on mine somewhere on the arm. Sometimes it's hidden by the shoulder armor, but, it's always there somewhere unless the armor is segmented in such a way as to allow rotation. Not much point of having armor if you can't move in it when you're being shot at.

I'd say maybe an indication of the hordes then it'll determine if the SpecOps should stand instead of on his knee.
