Description
A 'fan commission' for ~Horn-AdamaTwo rangers. An Elemental powered armor with sword drawn, and a specops soldier with battle rifle leveled. They have each others backs , ready for the swarm that is about to fall on them.
Thanks to everyone that watched in the streams, keeping me company and providing valuable critiques. And another thanks to Horn for the commission, without it this nice piece of work wouldn't have happened.
Fluff - The Shield Sword is a basic shield based weapon that was devised during the early testing of the mysterious new technology. It allowed the test deployment of shields in a simple device that could be used without implants.
No longer commonly used due to the restriction of shield material and advancement of dynamic internal battle armor shields. It is now only seen ceremonially or among a select few who have stuck to it's use, it still retains it's diversity as an easily deployed utility weapon. It can form a heat blade, defensive bubble or wall, and counter frequency fields and paths to better penetrate projectiles, or any other specialized form that is programmed in.

Haha, Well, I did a levels shift at the very end that added green and yellow to it, so it's no longer sitting solely on that illusion.

Those are some well detailed weapons. I see a flip out bi/omnipod on the rifle, and is that an extended magazine on the pistol?

Yep you got it. The rifle end is a bit messy design wise, plain sloppiness on my part though.

A little. The pod could use some rubber on the bottom so the gun would hold still while set down... But I actually like the end of it. Those prongs on the top and bottom kind of remind me of the P-90 sub-machinegun. (My favorite automatic.)

I like this picture a lot. I like the shield swords though I'm curious as to why he has three. Do they run out of power quickly?
One thing that bothers me is the 'ears' on his helmet. I feel like they would get in the way a lot.

Yea the swords wont last forever, especially now that the only remaining users of them are aggressive with their tactics.
Good point about the ears. They do articulate, and I think it's worth it in the end for 'artistic design'. Wont deny that they would be obstructions though.
