Description Was messing around with the Elemental design for a friend. I call it a light variant, but it's really nothing more than making a personalised girly suit. Breaks all my ideals for handling gender in armor

Very cool.
Is that a crest/plume or actual hair?

this looks really nice with the hair but i ant no expert in art or the story behind this but if the hair was showing the enemy wouldnt be in as much fear as the ones that look more animalistic and bruteish but seeing as it was a muck around it doesnt matter although would look awesome with marone hair in an anime like fashion
NOT AN ART CRITIQUER DONT LISTEN TO ME

Anyone can critique art, you just have to know how to say it, practice at it.
I think the hair could still look like an extension of the beast/armor, but yea it isn't too practical.

in my little imaginary world these could be used as a kind of first line of attack. And then after they have been used(killed) if possible the other more masculine or even higher ranked elemental rangers and spec ops go in to clean up the scraps. but agian this isnt my pice and concept of a story but seeing that they are a lighter version they could of obtained a higher rank or skill level than the bruter looking elemental rangers and thus dont need armor to protect them and the hair could be a sign of the obtained rank or skill and this could be a rarer form of armor that they can use

Hehe, your second guess is where it's at. First point is that Elementals are the most elite foot units on the ground. The trained skill and equipment are far too valuable to throw away, that's what bombing and artillery is for. A new Ele could take in a light suit, though most including the higher ups will stick with a medium weight suit, making more minor changes to suit their style.

yeah that sounds far better and while i was helping to demolish a house and swinging an axe into the dry wall instead of a sledge hammer i thought that maybe this state of armor could even be a later stage of the armor kinda like crysis (dont own or have rights to it) in crysis 2 the armour is less bulky but is more superior in energy and protection wise and this could just be a female rendition of a futre version later in the story concept but again ur story this is just my opinion fell free to use it if u want im just elated to give u ideas

Watching my LiveStream is the best option if you can.
For these sketches...
-Start with a light sketch, setting proportions and pose, basic armor shapes.
-Throw down basic tones to enhance the feeling of the forms, helps you see forms.
-Darken in lines/details, highlight areas, smooth over sketch as needed.
