Description
Was messing around with the Elemental design for a friend. I call it a light variant, but it's really nothing more than making a personalised girly suit. Breaks all my ideals for handling gender in armorRelated content

All it takes is practice and hard work, and I'm not even the hardest worker

Love the design of this armour. It's pretty (not necessarily in a feminine way), intimidating, and relatively practical.

Yeah, but at least only her hair is exposed. Sure, you can grab it but at least there's protection over her boobs and legs.

There's a reason it's called "Light" armor

Would you feel comfortable submitting this image into the Battle Ready Womyn group? [link] Were a group dedicated to realistically armoured women warriors and respectful interpretations of them and feel this artwork fits group qualifications. Hope you chose to contribute! (This would be best submitted into the Sci-fi folder).

FYI, Mods are able to request art for their group, just use the button on the right side of the devs page. This way you don't have to ask the artist with a comment, they just say yes or no in the message center.

I think this is pretty sweet.
But since you mention it, I'm curious -what are your ideals for handling gender in armor?

That aside from proportional variations that are present between all people, male or female, armor design shouldn't change just because there's a certain gender person wearing it. Basically, if a dude wouldn't want to wear it, the rule has been broken

Agreed completely. I usually find skimpy outfits and over-sexualized, impractical proportions distinctly unappealing, especially in armor. It's absurdly difficult to find smaller - or, at least, completely covered - chests and rears when looking for armored women, and this is a nice breath of fresh air. She looks as if she can actually fight instead of just suffocating enemy soldiers with her bust.
I'll put the thighs down to armor plating and protective padding and leave it at that. Otherwise, this design actually doesn't look like it violates those ideals - I would probably try it on anyway, being a fan of lighter armor.
If I had the money, I would consider commissioning a design for an original character I thought up, but I'm rather lacking in the financial department.

It's a classic conflict between tactical utility and simple male aesthetics. We like armor with bewbs and booty.

Definitely more of an agility type I would say.

pff, girly? I want to try that suit on. that's not a bust, it's swept chest armor for glancing away penetrating shots. power armor with close-range weapons is supercool.

I don't know what it is but the way you draw your power armors just pulls me in, they seem so believable the way you've drawn them. Not the over sized hulking cannon wielding tanks from cartoons, but a personal suit to enhance a soldier. I dunno, I'm rambling now, beautiful work though like always.

It's a bit of a style less used I guess, though I do have the heavy guys too

Like it alot. Very feminine while still deadly in look and texture. You can tell the user is female (aside from the hair) but there is still power in her suit and it gives the feel that she'll spring any moment with her spear/baton/lance
