Having another go with referencing faces, obviously I have a bias toward the Asian form. This time around I only eyed the image, trying to get away from the ease of color picking and painting over.Great photo reference from so go check em out.
And Iām out of school for 3 weeks, so expect a slew of these studies, shweet.

I love the subtle shading around the eyes, nose, and mouth. And who doesn't have a bias for the asian form

Looks good, but her right [our left] side of her face is very wide, even compared to the reference.

Is it that my sparse shading doesnt indicate the curvature to the side of the face?

Hmm, I think it's just the jaw shape overall on that side, in the reference picture she has hair on that side of the face which makes it slimmer...
I just hope I'm looking at the same reference picture! lol!

Ah, that's a different reference than I thought. Her right side of her face [ in yours ] is still too round though, just need to look at how the hair flows in the reference compared to yours and you'll see what I mean. Good job on picking up anatomy though =]
