Fun(ny) story behind this one... this picture is brought to you by vodka! At least originally. I was drunk when I decided I wanted to doodle a romantic elf couple. AND SO I DID. And was surprised to find, the next morning, that I was actually happy with how it turned out.I forgot about it for a couple of months, then found it in a pile of unfinished/abandoned art. Decided "hey why not finish it" so I inked it, colored it, and here we are.
It's been ages since I did something purely in my own selfish interest, from the heart, for nothing and no one. Just my own image. Not for a game, or an illustration of something, or a commission, or a comic... just art from my soul. And vodka.
And dammit, I'm glad I did it.

I like that you did this for yourself. Sometimes it's just nice to do something for yourself, especially when it is something as beautiful as this. This picture reminds me of the Elfquest elves: they are not as noble or wise as the LOTR elves and they are very sexual creatures and yet somehow they are still more innocent and shrewd than humans.

Doing something for one's self can be rather therapeutic. Granted, stuff tends to get in the way of doing what our soul demands of us, so that's why we have to CARVE time out for ourselves. <3

I love how this turned out for you. Their hair has this 70's-ish feel to it and reminds me of the character hair styles on all those Daft Punk music videos. The lighting, shading coloring is all so beautiful, even down to the womans ponytail. I love how you did her ponytail.
