ThatΒ΄s fun. IΒ΄ve got a twinsister. In the age of 18 one boy said she would be 28 and that IΒ΄m 16. Oh damn, my sister was angry. Today she met him again and said: "Now IΒ΄m really 28." Oh he was so spooked and full of shame...
Funny little story.

When I was 12, I was on a ski lift and some guy who was out of college thought I was in college and asked me out. It was mildly disturbing.

I have an older brother; he was mistaken for my father at our grandma's 80th. He is eleven months and a week older. So, some sympathy is felt.

I can sorta relate with this - When I was fourteen I was mistaken for my 20 year-old sister's boyfriend, and she also looks older than her age.
And then everyone used to think my best friend was my kid brother.
And I went to this camp last Summer and the other leaders thought I was one of the leaders. Some fun can be had when u look older than u are.

That kinda sorta happened to me once... I was eleven and this nineteen-year-old started hitting on me on Saint Patrick's Day (he was red-haired, Irish, and drunk drunk drunk). It took him fifteen minutes before he thought to ask how old I was.

the same happened to me although I was 12 and we were staying at a resort...i came down from the roof top pool to get my brother in the game room downstairs in my swim suit (full suit not a two piece) and this 16 year old guy started hitting on me...it was weird....i was like O.O dude I'm 12.........

Oy. I think I just saw my future.
I'm sixteen, and not very tall for my age, (in fact, people have asked me if I was in middle school before...)
And although my sister is four years younger than I am, as of now she's only about a head shorter than me... and well on her way to someday surpassing me in height.
Oh.... the joyness.
Fantastic. Power to you!

LOL my sister is always gonna be shorter than me thank god but I get carded at movie theatres for some odd reason even though i am 5'9 1/2" and slim so i can't use the roundness excuse...maybe my face is too childlike since it is kind of round...who knows....but at least I don't look older....I just take it as a comliment...means when i am 40 I'll look 30ish

I have this problem too. Lots of people think I'm much younger than I really am. Actually lots of people in my family look much younger than they really are. Thus my mom is thought to be my sister and grandma, her mother, is thought to our mother. I'll be happy when I'm fourty but until then I'll be pissed.

personaly, the age limit is compete bulshit!, for thousands of years we've been having children at young ages! it's what we evolved to do! Developement produces sexual desire, DAMN YOU CONSERVATIVES FOR DISOBEYING EVOLUTION! Plus it's healthyer for a woman, and the child, to have a baby at the age of 13, than 30. But they'll soon take that out of the science books two and replace it with a paragraph about how pregnant teens should have abortions, and about how hugging gives you AIDs...sigh

I also forgot to mention that males also can't start to procreate too early either because of the development of not only their pserm but themselves but that should go without saying......
π: 0 β©: 0
EveOfMoonlight In reply to Romanpen [2007-04-05 03:57:08 +0000 UTC]
actually it's healthier at 16-18 ish because you don't fully finish developing till then...different peopel develop differently so I am including all probabilties of development here...some don't fully develop mentally until they are 21 and could never handle sex or the ramifications (good and bad) from sex like pregnancy, labor, giving birth, or even the responsibility of Birth control.........imagine this generation of tweens having children...they are more concerned about celebrities and make up and boys rather than being responsible for themselves or another human being.....physically also keep in mind the vagina has to develop in size.......in Muslim countries (and i am sure others as well) 9-13 year olds fall pregnant and often have miscarriages because of how young they are and how the vagina can't handle the developing body in a body that is also developing......so keep in mind the mental and physical toll on the person...the same goes for men 40-60 years old.....semen starts to degenerate as a male ages so the longer you wait the more problems the fetus will have mentally and even physically....I'm not saying boys should have sex in their tweens but I agree with the 20-40 age gap having children because of the lowered amounts of possible mental and physical ailments......it's not 100% but it beats having 50 miscarriages before you are 20. My mom's a nurse and i am a nerd who often read her medical texts...I need a life...at least i am amply prepared...lols

Omigawd! D= My sister and I have the same problem(only are ages arn't near that close) I'm like fourteen(fifteen in December! xD) and all these older guys hit on me because they think I'm like, 16-19(I've gotten them all, and they seem to lose interest once they know I'm under-aged, weird huh?) she's like, 21, and everyone messes up our ages because I'm taller with bigger boobs.(She's short and flat-chested, I'm inches taller with D boobs, what can'ya do?)

Had to add this. I have a similar problem. While I don't have a younger sister to be confused with, I'm twenty and get confused for UNDER 14 constantly...
Actually, just this past December I was asked twice in the same weekend if I wanted a children's menu at restaurants. -_-; So I feel your pain. Just... perhaps a little harsher.

Man, story of my life. XD Even though I'm the oldest, most guys went for my younger sister, thinking I was like 12 or something I guess. XD I think it was the appearance. She was big on make-up and clothing while I liked to be slummin' it.
I'm really digging these comics. I've heard murmurs on the grapevine its an actual webcomic somewhere. I'm off to search!

Amazing, I sometimes thought I was the exception to the norm; I'm one of those people who are mistaken for college students as soon as puberty kicks in and a figure develops, being told you look like a college student before you're even in high school is a very strange feeling, no?
