I found myself thinking one day about a Gargoyles/Buffy crossover. It amused me, and I then wondered which gargoyle would be a Slayer after the end of Buffy season 7. And even though Ariana is a fan character and not canon... I thought of her.
And just so you all know, Buffy is a pain to draw. She has a look that is hard to convert to an animated style. But I think I pulled her off okay. I think. XD

Oh wow, that a brilliant idea! And youre completely right, I cant think of any other female gargoyle who would could do the job (except maybe Demona; OMG Demon the Vampire Slayer! 
Anyway, you gave them perfect expressions and I love Ariana's clothes. They fit her so well

I can't really remember when I started to stop watching Buffy regularly and then not really at all. I think it happened some time during the first season of it no longer being on the WB. Kind of killed the show to me at some points... that and I probably didn't have time to watch it as much however I do remember watching the series finalie to understand what you're talking about here.
Ariana is deffinatly a shoe in for being a Slayer whether by the actions in the final episode or by choice. I could see her doing it as a "thrill seeking hobby"

There was a fanfic series about 10 years back in which Ariana became a Slayer, but I can't remember the name. At first, I thought this was fanart for it.

You definitely pulled both of them off really well. And I have to admit that they would fight well together. Ariana would probably bug Buffy to death just for the sheer fun of it, but when it comes down to fighting the bad guys, they're an awesome duo.
