Just an experiment... lighting, skin, heat... I'm not sure how well I accomplished my goal, but I think it's allright in the end. *blink* Drawn without any reference pics, except for the swords. o.o;Related content

Gorgeous piece. <3 The shading is wonderful and I love how the piece flows like if you blink she'll be steppingin a different direction and swinging the sword low and coming around to make another pose. ^-^

This reminds me of a friend of mine who's the lead singer of a local band here in MD, Cassandra Syndrome.

Awesome work! Everything looks wonderfull! Even when the wrist seems a bit too fragile for the weigh of the swords. In my opinion they are too thin, even for a woman. But is great the work you had done without references. You really have tallent.

Is the right leg suposed to be closer to the viewer? I think thats what I noticed right off, the perspective on that leg seems off, but the light and shadow it gorgeous! I like the way you did the strands of hair falling down the back , kinda gives the picture a sense of intenciy.

Back shots are my fav. they are so elegant and really show off the female shape. The lighting is lovely as well as here hair. Good lord though I would be afraid to dance around with sharp objects in the nude, I might end up with a few less body parts than I began with. Great drawing though, wonderful movement and such

Gorgeous anatomy. o_o I think the pic might look more centered if the bottom of that foot was in there (though you might do what I do all the time and...start too much in the middle of the page and run out of room at the bottom, ahah..hah... >_>; ), but everything else is fantastic. Shading is + awesome, and the pose and anatomy are just wow.

That's EXACTLY what I did. *L* But the paper was just small, I guess, because if I'd draw it any higher I would've run out of room for the top o_O I'll probably edit this pic later to add the bottom of her foot, cause to be honest, it bugs the hell out of me XD ^___^

There's a sense of motion and rhythm that I like here; the curvature of the swords compliments the curves of the figure.
I can feel the steamy heat from this image, the muscles working and motion of the swords, the whistling of blades slicing through air. It's nicely lit, as well...
I don't think I'll be able to convince my Sensei that training this way would be a good idea, however.
