Oh damn, oh shit
Its tutorial time 8D Cuz I have nothing else on my plate, obviously (I'm lying). Anyways I was feeling like not working on comics so I did this. As always, feel free to trace or whatever you need to do. Sorry if it is less in depth, this is more about the shapes and how to arrange them on the face vs an exhaustive listing of a bunch of details. Hopefully this will give you a place to begin so you can make your own variety, instead of having to rely on others and reffing (if you even need the help).
I'd like to add, this is exactly how I draw faces. If you like that and want to emulate it for some godawful reason, go ahead, I guess (though I strongly advise you to develop your own style). But hopefully the principles are basic enough to be applied to any style you like.

I certainly think that I dont have any anime in my art.. I cant stand anime. But, ppl have pointed out that I draw like an anime artist! O_o I'm doomed.
Anyway, I love the tutorial. I always seem to draw the mouths off to the side somehow. Maybe its just the way I draw, like this cartoonish way. There is no hope for me. Even reading your tutorial, I still draw mouths to the side a bit.

I would love to apply it to my drawings, but I've been drawing anime so long (3 years) and so often, that whenever I think of a face, it's anime. D8 Is there any hope for me?

I don't know, is there? XD Just try another style, or draw from life. There are ways to escape from Anime if you really want to.

I've tried to draw in other styles, but they always have an anime 'tint' to them. I thought I had an animeless style once, but a person pointed to it and said, "Ohai, is that anime?" Ugh.

This is just what the doctor ordered. I can do cartoony animal faces no problem, it's just the complexity of a human face that always reveals the flaws in my drawing skills.

You have no idea how good it is to find a drawing tutorial that ISN'T anime! I can't even find them at the library, all the books they have are 'how to draw manga'. This is possibly one of the best face tutorials I've come across in a long time.

Thanks for this tutorial and im surely going to try it out, i started with drawing with anime.. as a total noob, ive never drawn.
And they dont teach you the anatomy, so it confuses me (im slow), and sometime everything gets placed on the wrong places.
Im going to try it out later ^^, aint going to show what i made cus .. i suck D=
