Some say the youngest people have the strongest minds. That nothing can break a young person's spirit. The same can be applied to Spencer Reid as he steals a glance at Emily Prentiss across the room.

He's been watching her. Listening to her ever since she's come back from being dead and gone. Constantly being given the look of longing and want from many women, her included.

When everyone leaves the room finally after a long case, they're the only two left. Alone and Emily about to follow after them all. About to follow Dave, Hotch, Jennifer back to the hotel and just... leave Spencer alone.

And then, she hears it.

"Hey Emily?"

She turns around and blinks. Spencer's standing there, unblinking and watching her quietly.

"What's up, Reid?"

"...you- got a minute?"

A small smile. "Yeah. Sure. What's up?"

"You all right?"

Emily nods. "Why wouldn't I be?"

Tiny shrug. "Just- I dunno. Worried."

"Now you've lost me."

Spencer just gazes at her, and the next thing Prentiss knows, she's suddenly nose to nose with him. His arms around her body and tugging her closer.

"About you."

She almost wants to ask for a reason about it and decides against it this once, silently melting into his arms and slipping her hands slowly around his.

For a man who talks a lot, Spencer Reid has said a hell of a lot more than he could have ever rambled to her about for a good half an hour.
