Description
Solid's story may be over, but she lives on; Firebird is basically Solid's spiritual successor.
She's the navigator of Alyosha/Al, the main character of my new story, Transitory. She's a hunter that moved to being a navigator, although she still retains a bit of her armoury. Her move to a less action-oriented department is motivated by the desire to live a safer, less stressful, and more stable life.
Since before her move and until now, Firebird actually has two personas within her head, which is part of why she couldn't retain her entire armoury when she shifted functions. Said persona is also part of her motivation; after saving enough money to build a body for him, now she's just working on the blueprint of the body in her spare time. If she remained a hunter, she wouldn't have enough spare time to work on a body for him and take care of herself at the same time.
BACKGROUND
She was never keen to talk much about it; she keeps most of her life story under wraps. But three things that HQ knows are that: 1) she and Al go way back, 2) she's been with the Hunters since before X5, and 3) she has another persona in her head that had always supported her, even, apparently, before she met Al. Said persona had been a positive presence in her life, which in turn helps her become a positive presence in others. Even so, she barely speaks of him. Only Al knows more about him than the average person, and even then he doesn't talk much about this second persona.
ABILITIES
Being an ex-fighter personnel, Firebird is proficient in combat, even after losing a good part of her armoury. She is the agile attacker type, who doesn't do a lot of damage per hit unless she hits vital spots. Even so, she's a brutal fighter and, in serious situations, will focus on disarming the attacker completely. She also has no reservations using the energy claws on her hands and feet to seriously butcher someone's face.
Unlike Solid, prolonged fighting does not corrode her body. However, due to her barrier, as well as all her weaponry being dependent on energy, she will have no choice but to run once she runs out of energy.
Her weapon is versatile, but a 3-in-1 does have its drawbacks; it's an OK saber, an OK buster, and an OK energy whip, but each individual mode is just decent. Even so, it's good enough for her to defend herself from a variety of sticky situations.
Since her move to being a navigator, she's also had to learn engineering and programming. As she's not very experienced in these aspects, more often than not she would enlist the help of Alia, Layer, Pallette, Douglas, and all the other engineering personnel more skilled than she is. Firebird has been focusing more on engineering in order to finish the new body for her second persona.
DESIGN
To sum this section up, her design seemed to be a combination between Xian and Solid's nonbeliever form.
While her design still retains Solid's characteristic amount of detailing, Firebird is sleeker due to her concept as a "secretary" or "officer" as well as her fighting style. Even though she is Al's navigator and thus acts as his support, she is more senior than him, and the arrangement is seen as Firebird mentoring her replacement.
Her robe clasp has a lowkey wings motif, the two coattails are reminiscent to a firebird's tail feathers (particularly the Chinese fenghuang; it is said that the female birds have an even number of tail feathers), and the talons on her feet are meant to reference bird talons.

Oh! I could tell that she was based off of Solid the moment I saw her. <3 She looks good, and I'm definitely curious about the story you have built up for her.
Glad to see you arting again!

Is this a roleplay? Because if no, I think you're sorely mistaken; this design is entirely mine, a combination of two of my designs, in fact.

Is she also a reploid like most of your other OCs?

Thank you, I'm so happy you think so! ;v; I've had to go back and forth between concepts, and I am very relieved to know that I'm not the only one who thinks that all that effort paid off.

Youβre welcome The effort sure has paid off. OCβs can be difficult to make since it takes experimenting.
