My second favourite starter line in Johto. Cyndaquil I was never too attached to before playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, and it was my first ever personality quiz result. Playing through red rescue team with it for the first time felt... very special. Cyndaquil then evolves into the best looking one in the line to me, Quilava. I don't really like Typhlosion because, I dunno, I think it gets too big and agressive. But Quilava is a really nice in between for the line. Looks both cute, cool, nice and threatening. And is the right size, and on all four feet. I dunno, just seems way more appealing than the evolution.

Glad to see shinies look great here. I think they get a bit worse with jump to 3D.
