I really love pokemon that are just very odd looking or unusual. Also the fact that this line has some connection to space, maybe aliens, and looks so weird with that core, it's just awesome. Another thing that I enjoy is that they reference regenerative abilities of sea stars in it's pokedex, hehe. Overall, one of the better Kanto water types.
Shiny
Shiny staryu is really good. Core colour changes to a nice blue, and the body gets a nice grey colour. All while ring on it remains the same, making it seem as if it's not a part of the body but attached to it instead. And Starmie shiny is.. fine. It looks to me a bit better in other generations for some reason, even tho it's not that different. Also, may or may not be just a little salty that I've failed to catch shiny Starmie in PMD Rescue Team DX like, 6 times at least. More than half of those I've even had a friend bow...
