*One stormy night, Edward had been detained at Wellsworth Station due to the weather; the stationmaster had allowed the blue engine's crew to sleep inside the station to pass the night. The old engine was just about to drift off to sleep when he thought he could hear another engine coming down the line*

Edward: Surely the others are already back at Tidmouth Sheds by now. Unless of course, it's the midnight goods train.

*but to his surprise, he could hear a shrieking, deep whistle and a clanging bell, followed by red lights and smoke*

Edward: What engine would have that, I wonder?

*out of the darkness emerged a ghostly figure of a large 4-8-2 Mountain type; an engine that struck fear into many Americans in the United States*

Edward: A-Are you...?

311: *smirks* That is correct, old man, I am the Clinchfield 311... you had better brace yourself and pay attention to what you hear, old timer. *with a haunting whistle, she sets off, leaving behind a speechless Edward*
