Pretty Polly... my beloved sister...
Why...? You had so much potential to be preserved like I was... even if Pegler hadn't bought you, somebody would have... I miss you very much, Polly... every day, I suffer survivor's guilt... I wish you could have met Katrina... we had a rocky reunion, but now... we're the best of siblings... 
Polly, I miss you... and I hope you can hear me... Gresley would be proud...

Yeah... she was the last sibling of Scotty's to get scrapped... her death, he feels particularly bad about... he was forced to watch it and it was changed from a routine procedure to a slow, torturous process...

Yup, the real Pretty Polly got scrapped. In mine and Ariel's headcanon, Polly and Scotty were very close to each other during their last days in active service... when Polly was scrapped, Scotty was forced to watch as it was turned from routine into a slow, torturous process... her anguished screams still haunt his nightmares... but her last words to him were "Make me proud, Scotty... I love you"

I figured that would be the case. It's always sad to see an engine get scrapped. Especially a very well known engine.

Indeed. I do have plans to rebuild her in my series, unknown to Scotty though, as I want him to be surprised.
