Re imagings can be good e.g. Artemis was a villien called Tigris but in yj she is a hero and even then she was Tigress but they made her a double agent, still playing omarge to the character.
And the same goes for Kalder. He's an original character from a show like Harley Quin that got popular and got there own comic.
So you can make changes but they have to be slight and make sense like Bart and Jaime. Β Barts origin starts in the future so can be easily flexible and in yj they brought two iconic storylines and Brought them together to make a new updated one.Β
Personally I would prefer if dc looked at yj and so they could see how it's done because yj was an amazing reboot

I don't think he was planning on dieing as how would know that Jaime would be skating past ted cord at that time.Β
And Jaime becoming blue beetle was simple fate but part of me believes that the light knew about the scarab ( because of the temple in biayia) and arranged Jaime to be late that day so he would be near ted cord at that time.Β

Also I don't think gold exists in the yj world as it makes bart's ability to create a time machine less impressive compaired to someone who can do it at will ( but lets face it, bart making a time machine was so crash XD)
I suppose it would be cool to see him but if he's not with ted I don't really care.
Abut maybe he does and he and ted were working on time travel and the machine blew up killing ted and sending gold or maybe ted forward in time to bart's future/past.
