It took me long enough. I FINALLY finished my new Sprite tutorial.
I made this whole thing using Graphics Gale. And it took a long time to make I lost count on how many hours it was.
Please leave feedback! ^^
Edit: 1/16/11 I changed the whole thing to the standard stationary tutorial. I received many requests to change it from an animated tutorial to the one it is now. Don't worry if it has too many steps I just wanted to go really deep in detail. Xp

I'm really comfortable with Graphics Gale. I've been using it for more than 3 years and it's a great program. I'll give Aseprite a shot though.

It's called Graphics Gale and it's free! It does cost around $20 if you want to save animated Gifs though.

No you don't, I used to use MS Paint a long time ago, I've heard of others who use Adobe Photoshop, but I personally use Graphics Gale to do all of my Spriting. ^^

I would prefer if you didn't make them yourself for personal reasons. But if you want I can make them into icons myself, then you can use them.

I would have to say, if you haven't already practice editing some Sprites from a game. Once you get the hang of that try and make your own. The editing practice will help you understand how Spriting works and will help you better understand how to do your own.
