I've been entirely obsessed with FFX lately.Here's a character that I made. An Al Bhed girl. Doesn't really have a name yet.
She got caught stealing by a guard.
They're at Thunder Plains.
It was supposed to be a quick sketch, but ended up taking me like, what... 6.5 hours? Yeah. It's a pain in the arse. And it STILL looks bad.
I hate drawing.
No criticism. I'm tired. I suck at backgrounds. Go away. *throws a shoe at you*

Well it looks great. Wish I knew how to produce that effect. I'm still in the stone age with manual cell shading.

For this I used Painter. @___o Still suck at that program though >_<
I swear it hates my guts.
Used a lot of blend too, that I didn't use before until I read a few tutorials.

Corel. It's a real bitch though. To me and a few others anyway.
A lot of great artists use it but I guess it just hates the selected few ;o;

I know a lot of AMAZING artists use it though, especially comic artists.

P.S.:
FF X final battle:
battle commenses.
first round: Auron hits the final boss for 89999 points of damage. a cutscene follows, boss changes it's form.
second round: Auron hits the final boss for 88868 points of damage. boss dies. the final CG movie starts...
me: (that was the weakest final boss I've ever fought...) *throws the FF X DVD out the window*

nah, I was way too weak. didn't even have Ultimate Weapons with Tidus and a bunch of others. as a matter of fact, only Auron and the black mage girl had their ultimates. Behemots were almost pwning me... but the dungeon with Ultima and Omega weapons was a walk in the park. well, i wasn't much into destroying everything (2 million-health points-mega boss, do you need it?). i was trying to lvl my party to 99 but got tired and decided to see if I can survive the final fight... turned out to be waaaaaay too easy.
well, in FF X-2 I liked the thing with the dresses. (btw the FF 11 system is based on that (goes back to FF 5 - the jobs' system)). but the game itself is way too long and boring... grrrr. nothing beats FF 11! LOOK INTO MY EYES! I COMMAND YOU TO PLAY FF 11!!! #_#

Fwee! Al Bhed! I think Al Bheds just have the cool swirly eyes n' sturf. I likes it whatever they are supposed to be. I love her outfit. Stays true to the Al bhed in the game. I just barely beat this game like one or two weeks ago after two painful years of of this stupid thing. Totally worth it though. I had to play for a week, beat a boss, stop for four months. xD It's a great game though.

Eto nee... @_@ I think the Al Bhed all have eyes that are more than one colour, Natnat. Anyways, very good drawing, very impressed with the lovely Thunder Plains, I recognised them right off the bat.

I vaguely remember a particular part of the game discussing that the Al Bhed have eyes that... change colours or something if I'm not mistaken. Her eyes are green, but they change hues or something, I can't exactly remember. Maybe that's mentioned in X:2........ But I think I heard it somewhere.
Anyways, was just a thought.

Seriously? I spent a little more time on this background. Not enough for it to look decent, but enough for it to look almost equivalent to the time I spent on my artwork.
