No they are right, all the other countries to that and they're very right. It's just us who don't XD. And even like this we're still taking europe down with us. Sucks for them.
Yeah I know I hope it won't be like that in the next films as well, show a PeetaxKatniss moment and immediately show Gale after that, that was just...stupid XD.
And naah, I'll only edit again when I get a great quality version for now I'm just watching it but it helps on learning and memorizing the scenes that's pretty helpful when it comes to editing ^^. I'm more on a drawing mood now. I saw the trailers for Disney's Brave again yesterday and I just can't wait this movie looks SO awesome And I did 2 doodles yesterday (I never do doodles, that's how much I felt the need to do something with this movie) but I think I'll do a real drawing when I get the time (exams atm). You like Disney films?

Well, I just hope everything works out. Whatever happens, I'm sure other countries won't let you get as bad as District 12!
Gale has more screen time in the second movie, so that shouldn't be a problem. They only did it in the first one to remind everyone that Gale is out in District 12 seeing everything going on between Katniss and Peeta and how it's affecting him.
Yes, I do. I even wanted to be a Disney animator once. I used to be obsessed with The Little Mermaid and I really liked Tangled. What are your favorite Disney films? I look forward to seeing your drawings!

I wouldn't count on that but thank you
Yeah that's true. I'm very glad they changed that stupid script idea of him going secretly in the Capitol to help Katniss and live with Avoxes and stuff that would be such a huge fail x_x
Haha yeah working for Disney would be so cool But animation is so damn hard I don't really want to XD And all they do is 3D now and well I certainly know 3D is a pain. Oh yes Tangled was so lovely I love that movie so much
Well I love all the Disney classics very much with The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast being very special to me and The Hunchback of Notre Dame being my fav movie from them. Also had a darker theme than the other ones more mature maybe I really loved that and everything about this movie really

I never heard of that script idea. Where did you hear that? Yeah, I don't think Susanne Collins would've let that fly and the fans would definitely have hated it. At least I would have!
I worked for Disney one summer. I was a waitress at Disneyland. Never again. It's a fun place to visit, but not a fun place to work, especially not during the summer when it's at its busiest!
Yes, 3D animation is a pain, but also high in demand. No wonder the people who are professionals at it make the big bucks.
I miss that Disney Renaissance age. They just seemed to be on a roll back then, making one hit movie after another. They're smart though, putting movies in a "vault" and re-releasing them after a certain number of years so that a new generation can get into them. It's crazy to me that my little cousins now are as into the Disney princesses as I used to be when I was their age.
I don't know if you've seen these already or if you're watching these artists already, but I just love these because 1) They're Hunger Games, and 2) They're funny:

Any plans for the weekend? I don't really have any, but I'm just glad to be off of work. It's been so busy! Either way, have a good one!

I had send you a link in a previous message that explained that! Maybe you didn't see it I'll send it again XD [link]
Haha I can imagine, must have been hell.
Yes it really makes sense it's so expensive but still I wouldn't do it x_x
Yeah I think no matter how many years pass children will always be addicted to the Disney classics. I mean I'm still addicted and I'm 19 haha. And I'm almost done with Princess Merida's drawing! I think it's my best drawing so far featuring a human. Yesterday I was working the whole day on it, I'm not exaggerating XD. Her hair is HELL.
And those were hilarious! Especially the first one, ''Simbaaaa'' I laughed so hard that was brilliant XD. And Effie flipping the table XD MANERS!
No plans for the weekend just the usual In 1 week I get off school for 2 weeks for easter holidays
Yaaaaay!

I don't blame you. I wouldn't either. There are just some jobs that aren't weren't doing no matter how much they pay you.
That's great! I look forward to seeing it. I can imagine. She's got some curly hair, that one.
Yes, I'm loving the Hunger Games comics, especially since the original source material can be so sad and depressing at times. It's nice to have a lighter side to it.
Lucky. It's been years since I've graduated so I've forgotten that there's such a thing as Easter break. Do you have any plans?
I ended up going to an Easter egg hunt festival with my cousin and her little girls today. There were games and slides and food, so it was fun. And I love my little cousins to begin with, so I enjoyed just watching them have fun.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Exactly.
Oh yes, too curly. I feel so sorry for the poor animators who had the create each hair XD.
Yeah I'm a huge fun of parodies as well I know every THG parody vid on YT haha
No I never have plans but usually fun stuff happens And just relaxing is great as well cause it will be hell after that with all the work me and my friend have to do for the final project.
That sounds really fun! Glad you enjoyed yourself
And omygosh I'm so doing a quick cat deviation, I want a cat badge so much! I was very happy to wake up today and see DA has been taken over by cats Will you make anything?

ShipperTrish In reply to PhotonLights [2012-04-01 15:32:58 +0000 UTC]
Fortunately, the animators for Tangled paved the way from them (maybe they're even the same animators), but I'm sure it was still really difficult!
What is your final project? Well, whatever you end up doing, I hope you have a good break!
Lol! I didn't even know we were taken over by cats until you said something, hahaha! I'm not sure if I have time to do anything, but I think it would be cool if you did. I love kittehs! Gotta love dA for having such a good sense of humor whenever April Fool's Day comes around. Even now, the llamas still rule!

PhotonLights In reply to ShipperTrish [2012-04-01 18:54:32 +0000 UTC]
Definitely the same animators since both films are Disney's and Tangled was so successful I would definitely pick the same animators, and yes must have been hell XD. I heard they developed a program especially to make Rapunzel's hair back then! How crazy is that?
It's a short video based on a little story I wrote many years ago. It's has a scary atmosphere but funny at the same time and the main characters are a little girl and her kitty (I'm in charge of the kitty).
Haha yes when I saw that cat article I thought finally the time has come! XD I love cats too! Like super love them, they're my 2nd fav animals (first being horses). I did a tiny quick kitty drawing nothing special but I got a whiskers badge on my channel now!
And yes best Aprils fool day so far (I don't think I was a DA member yet last year).
Hehe yes llamas are awesome <3

Gotta love Disney for paving the way for new innovations.
That's interesting. Will you be posting it on YouTube?
Me too! One of my favorite websites is ICanHasCheezburger. I saw your cat drawing. It's very sweet and I like the classic sketch look it has, like DaVinci's old drawings. I faved it. I ended up submitting one too. I figured that if I have to make a cat deviation, might as well make it Hunger Games related.
I'm so sad the weekend is over. Just have to bear and grin the work week and hope the weekend comes soon again! Have a good one!

I don't know depends if it's good enough, if I upload it, it will be on my other account which is for movie videos (my main account involves anime videos). I'll send you a link if that happens
Oh cool! I'm guessing something Buttercup related I'll go check it out now!
Oh and thanks for the fav it wasn't that good really I did it in like 20 mins XD.
Well it's surprising how quickly weeks go by so you'll get another weekend really soon ;D Of course the weekend ends very soon as well but that's life..
Thanks you too!

Cool! Thanks, because I would want to see it.
You're welcome. Well, I thought it was good, and the fact that you were able to do it in only 20 minutes goes to show how good you are. Most people can't do that and can probably only draw stick figures.
Yup, it's Buttercup. I hope that in the next movies they'll find a cat that fits the description in the books more. They've made millions upon millions of dollars off the first movie. I'm sure they can afford to get a yellow cat with a squashed nose even if those kinds of cats (Persians) can cost thousands of dollars!

Alright then
Well I'm veeeery slow I know other people could have done something much better in 20 mins haha, but I try to get better with my time My Merida drawing is almost over, most of the hair is done and I still got to make the bow, and just fix the contrast when the whole thing is done, can't wait to finish it!
I don't really see them doing that cause then the cat would have magically changed from 1 movie to the others that would be kinda weird...and i don't think they're gonna pay much attention to Buttercup anyway. I wanted to see Prim's goat and there was no goat

ShipperTrish In reply to PhotonLights [2012-04-04 00:42:08 +0000 UTC]
I thought it was good. Besides, it isn't a race. The important thing is that you're happy with the end product.
Cool! I look forward to seeing it!
Guess it depends on whether or not they plan to continue using the cat the way it was in the books. Then again, like you said, Prim's goat played a huge role in bringing Katniss and Peeta closer and yet they didn't bother using that story line. Again, I'm so disappointed that they wasted precious time putting stuff in the movie that wasn't in the books and cutting out a lot of backstory instead. One of my friends, who hasn't read the books, watched the movie and she said the movie was good, but she didn't think it was all that (referring to all the hype) and all I could think was "If they had just kept the backstories, you'd see that there's so much more depth to these characters. You'd understand all the hype. *sigh* No wonder my co-worker's professor (who made her class read the books) hates Hollywood.

PhotonLights In reply to ShipperTrish [2012-04-04 09:28:10 +0000 UTC]
Definitely not a race but it's not so good that I'm slow XD.
Thanks I believe I'll post it tomorrow just have the bow to make and I'm done And Katniss is next!
Yes you're absolutely right but it's no use complaining about all the stuff they got wrong, what about all the stuff that were awesome? This movie was waaaaaaay awesomer than I thought it would be especially cause it was by Hollywood I mean they followed the book so well and kept in so many details, that DOESN'T happen in Hollywood adaptations most of the time. At least they were no major story changes I think we can live with less backstories as long as what happens in general is accurate.
I got the soundtrack yesterday SO GOOD! There are 2 songs that give me goosebumps and they did at the theater too when I watched the movie for the first time, especially at Rue's death scene, call me weird but I didn't feel sad only the music made me feel something (I mean Rue was on screen for like 5 mins and then she died, not enough time for me to feel XD) and of course the district eleven scenes after that were so powerful, one of my fav parts at the movie, and the same music plays again when Katniss and Peeta decide to eat the berries. Music is half of the quality to me if the music is powerful the movie is powerful too

ShipperTrish In reply to PhotonLights [2012-04-05 01:40:20 +0000 UTC]
I look forward to seeing it, and yea for doing Katniss next!
Yes, at least they were loyal to the general story line, which is more than can be said about some other movie adaptations.
I didn't feel sad either when Rue died in the movie. Like you said, she was only on screen for a few minutes. It was all too rushed to really get attached to her. I did cry when Prim was crying out for Katniss at the Reaping though. That part they did really well.
I was so confused until I realized that there are two soundtracks to the movie, the one with the various artists and the one with the original score. Glad you're enjoying the soundtrack. Now we just have to wait for the DVD. I really hope it comes out soon. I know they have to give the movie more time to make more money in the theaters, but I still hope the DVD comes out soon so that I can skip ahead to my favorite scenes and play them over and over again.

And for both of them together after that! I'm trying to think of a pose that both of them would look good at without 1 taking the spotlight from the other but it's hard to think of something. Oh well I still got time.
Yup exactly. The only part that really moved me was the scenes from district 11 cause I wasn't expecting that since it wasn't in the first book but they did a great job fitting it in there. And at the scene with the berries.
Yeah there are 2 soundtracks but I don't care about the various artists one to tell the truth. Besides Abraham's daughter which I loved I didn't bother hearing many of the other songs. The original soundtrack is really good. The more I hear it the more I like it Perfect inspiration now that I'll be drawing Katniss.
Btw have you heard about the Foxface suicide theory? I don't really like it to be honest and don't think that's what happened. What do you think?

ShipperTrish In reply to PhotonLights [2012-04-06 03:16:41 +0000 UTC]
That's a good idea. I've actually seen a drawing or two of them together. I think there was one of them where they're pointing their bows and arrows at each other, but maybe you can do one where they're back to back to make it look like they're on each other's side instead.
I wasn't crazy about the various artists one either. The only songs I downloaded from that one were "Abraham's Daughter" by Arcade Fire and "Just a Game" by Birdy. Today, I also downloaded the song they used for the trailer called "Deep Shadow" by TTL. Whenever I hear it, there's a dip in the notes that immediately conjures up the image of the train speeding through the forest. According to my iTunes, I've already listened to it 13 times even though I only bought it a few hours ago. And there's another trailer song I heard that's really dramatic called "Call for Heroes" by Pierre Gerwig Langer. I watched the trailer and it looks more like a fan made movie, but the song is really good. Very epic. Here's a link if you haven't heard it: [link]
No, I haven't heard of the Foxface suicide theory, and they way you put it, I'm not sure if I want to. o_O

PhotonLights In reply to ShipperTrish [2012-04-06 12:52:46 +0000 UTC]
Yup but I'll draw them being on the same side just like you said, I think they would be allies if they were on the hunger games together, their personalities are much alike even though I don't know that much about Merida but she definitely seems like she's not very ladylike and some other stuff that remind me of Katniss. And I'm finally done I'll upload it right now!
Yup those are the ones I like the most as well. And yeah I love Deep Shadows song very epic and also love the teaser song which is called Mercury by Groove Addicts! Oh yeah I've heard that song before but I can't remember where, I don't think it was in any trailer...Anyway it's epic and thanks for the link
Well some people are saying that Foxface didn't make a mistake eating nightlock cause in the training part in the movie they show her doing this test thing on that board with plants or whatever that was and you can tell that she knows which stuff are edible, so they've been saying that there's no way she could have not known nightlock is deadly and she took it on purpose, making the gamemakers think she did that on accident and what she really did was killing herself cause she knew she didn't stand a chance next to Cato or Katniss, and she didn't make it obvious that it was a suicide cause that would be against the rules and she also protected her family like that. So basically they're saying she outsmarted the Capitol and everyone else thinking she died accidentally. There's lots of stuff that doesn't sound right to me, I mean we don't even know if she had family back home and if this was her plan why didn't she do it earlier and waited for only 3 people to be left alive? I asked this on a youtube vid where this was discussed and some people replied ''cause she knew she didn't stand a chance next to Cato or Katniss or Thresh''. Again that sounds wrong I mean she knew that from the very beginning right? She actually did stand a chance for holding out for so long and being up against very few people now. There's no way she would have killed herself with only 3 enemies remaining after being so careful about everything this whole time. What do you think?

ShipperTrish In reply to PhotonLights [2012-04-06 22:44:00 +0000 UTC]
I saw your drawing. It looks just like her and I can see what you meant about her hair being a lot of work. It was worth it though. It looks great!
Well, if I'm going by the books (which is what I prefer to do) I'd say that she honestly didn't know what nightlock was. If I'm going by the movie, I'm not sure what to think because I don't really remember the part about her with edible plants on the chalkboard. I would have to watch the movie again and look for that part. That's the thing about the movie, it switches some things around that messes with how things actually are in the books. For now I'm going to say no, it wasn't suicide. I think that she would have continued hiding and outsmarting everyone until she won at the very end. Why kill yourself when you're smart enough to live without having to kill anyone yourself?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PhotonLights In reply to ShipperTrish [2012-04-07 08:28:42 +0000 UTC]
Thank you
Yup I agree I bet someone said ''maybe she committed suicide'' and everyone jumped on that and agreed thinking they were so smart >.> It doesn't make any sense, her committing suicide, she was the smartest over there and she could have won not by confronting them but on the same way she was acting through all the games. And no the movie messes up the book for people who are stupid enough to think Foxface killed herself it doesn't mess it up for everyone. Oh and it wasn't a chalkboard it was more like a screen and she was pushing buttons on a board on the floor I didn't say it right the first time.

I just found that Peeta interview vid you were talking about! I love it! Josh plays it out perfectly! The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it looks like Katniss and Haymitch are backstage when Peeta confesses his love for her. I was hoping that they would have kept it like in the books where she's still sitting on stage and everyone can see her reaction with her mouth half open. Otherwise, I love it!
