Description
One of the illustrations I've drawn for my final thesis (aka Maturarbeit). Its title is "Die Geschichte eines Schatzfundes" (The History of a Treasure).The two characters were designed solely for the thesis. As you maybe can see it's set in Roman times in nowadays Switzerland.

In fern vergangenen Zeiten, in den hiesigen Landen,
unsere Vorfahren auf den Feldern, Auen und Wiesen standen,
das Leben mit einem anderen Fluss, Rhythmus und Takt,
der Faden zieht sich von dort aus in unsere Gegenwart,

Romans knew certain drugs but I don't know if there was trafficking. But I think with the existence of drugs comes addiction, so I am quite sure there were also some addicts. I know for sure that they were very fond of alcohol. <;
