Yes, he IS and always will be my first hero......the original G1 Optimus Prime!
God....buying the 25th Anniversary Edition Season 1 of Transformers brings back memories......1984.....what a wonderful year......
....I was four years old and began enjoying a cartoon series I still watch to this day!
I remember collecting the figures (between my brother and I, I swear we had almost all of them! 
), watching the cartoons, wearing the t-shirts.....oh wait.....I still do all that today! 
Oh well....there's some things you just never outgrow, and my addiction to Transformers and my LOVE of Optimus Prime are just a few of them! 
Anywho...back to the drawing. Just a little something I whipped up fairly quickly. Done with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils. As always any comments, critiques and suggestions are more than welcome.
Now....I'm off to await the midnight release of Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen! 
(Yes, I preordered tickets! I wouldn't miss it for the world!! )

This is still my favorite one as well. Prime looks good in the movies, but this version of him is still the best. This is the Prime I remember and you drew him so well.
