Smoking is an addiction.(Not judging anyone, I'm a smoker myself).

Ask away anything you'd like to know. I remember when I first started working in ps or ai, so I know any help is much appriciated. First I collected appropriate stock photos that seemed to fit the idea. Then i croped all the unnecessary parts of the photos that I didn't intend to use. After that it was just a matter of putting them all together in a proper way and masking them to hide the parts where the ashes overlap. The key was in this particular case that I had bunch of layers of ashes that allowed me to manipulate them in a way I liked. It did took some time to put all the pieces together but once I was pleased with the outcome I tweaked the picture with some smoke and lighting. The best thing about photoshop is that there are many many great tutorial sites that helps you to learn allmost everything there is about photoshop, the rest is on you and you imagination

When using stocks, it's best to use your own. If that's not possible then use stocks whose artists gave permission to use the stocks in a non-commercial way or if you do need to use them in such manner then it's inevitable to contact the artist whose stock you used and arrange some kind of agreement in which both parties are satisfied
istock, shutterstock, sxc, fotolia, bigstockphoto and many many more. But my advice is search deviantART first. There are numerous amazing stocks and people here are great and will help you in any way they can

What you are trying to say in the idea is "cigarette destroys you", right? That isn't new either. And I'm not sure what the drug jab is doing in an anti-smoking ad. Isn't it confusing? Well, the only thing that I could thumbs up for is the photoshop skill. I'm sorry.

What I'm trying to say is that I see nicotine addiction more as an obssesion then as an disease. How you got "cigarette destroys you" tagline from that is beyond me. So, not seeing it as an disease it's not and cannot be terminal, it's an excessive psychological dependence. It can be treated, it's hard, but it's possible. The drug part refers to the addiction part, because people get more agitated about deaths caused by heroine addiction then on the ones nicotine caused. So, comparing the heroin addiction to nicotine addiction and making them similar to one and other will (in my mind) make people think more then the neverending "Stop smoking, you're dying" campaign. I'm sorry if you got confused over this.
