Hello! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I managed to make a plushie using it - here is the link! (I credited your tutorial in the description) Thanks again for writing such a great tutorial. This was my first time sewing anything and I think I did a fairly decent job!

The way I illustrated in the tutorial was my way of securing the pieces together in a neat and consistent fashion. If it is too confusing then a general rule of thumb is sew all the pieces thoroughly and securely, however you wish. I hope this helps!

It shouldn't if you make it only slightly larger than the head.
For a secure fit you can always glue it on with fabric glue or give it a couple small stitches

Oh my gosh, this is so awesome~!
If it's possible, could you make a tutorial on how to make removable clothes? cause I've read one of your comments that you make removable clothes for your dolls.

Ah, I'm sorry I don't come on dA very much now, let alone craft as often as I used to.
Unfortunately I don't have the time now as I did 3 and half years ago.
But thank you very much for commenting! <3

I must just ask, If you want the wig to be the plushie's hair how do you attatch the wig to the plushie's head? would you stitch them together or use fabric glue?

shmalice In reply to hammyhammy22 [2011-09-12 04:14:30 +0000 UTC]
The wig is essentially the hair itself. If you cut the pieces just slightlyy larger than the frame of the head then the result should fit very snug and won't slip off. But if you want the wig to stay in its place I would dab a few drops of glue underneath to secure.

Aww lol. The pictures don't help? I don't come on DeviantArt much anymore
What do you mean by putting the thread between the fabric? Like the way I stitched it? Like |-|-|-|? There's a link in the description box that leads to Supercat0000's deviation on how to do that specific stitch pattern. Check it out.
Thank you for the comment :]

It's simple, but very cute.
I prefer this style to the more tedious strand by strand style c:
