Shockbolt — Duel in the clouds

Description This is the first of maybe 2 or more versions I'll make of this cloud setting with the knight on the Braculor facing the dreaded black knight in a duel.

This actually started out as a background for my first Dev ID image. I liked the clouds so much that I wanted to turn it into a real piece of art.

Painted over 2 evenings, the original is way larger and might be suitable for large prints if I decide to make a poster out of it.

Ask for permission before using this image for any reason.

This is a very impressive piece of work. Most of the pictures i have seen of yours are, though this one compelled me to tell you that, lol. It's wonderful to creat a world in your head and then bring it to life and share it with others.

This painting gives a warm feeling to me. It's mainly the yellow color pallet, but also the composition of the camera behind the main figure. It's exciting to look at and too keep looking at.
Also I like the combination of very detailed parts such as the armor versus the parts where you still see the brush strokes, seen in the wing and the clouds. I'm always really font of that.

Well..painting them the way they felt "right" was part of it..then a moderate use of the Dodge tool in Photoshop helped a bit aswell
