Even stranger happenings have been said to have occurred in this spooky and over-enchanted forest! Perhaps, it ought to spook you all to know that the heroes aren’t alone in the forest. Oh, sure… Kamek and his forces are at large as per usual, but…
Something… else… is up and at large…
It started a day or two ago when the heroes found a riddle signed on a tree that entailed of a puzzle they were supposed to solve… only to find that the puzzle had already been solved! Was it a trap? They kept waiting for it, but… they were able to progress normally with saved time! Then, just this morning, they found that an enemy camp that they had no choice to attack in order to progress had already been cleared out! Every last enemy was gone! Clearly, someone else was here too, regardless of agenda. This only piqued the team’s curiosity further. They stayed alert through the next few hours trying to find any clue as to this mysterious person’s whereabouts. They were just about to head back on course to the main objective when Olivia and Sparky said they saw something!
Not too far down into the forest depths, a shadowy gaze was staring back at them with creepy pinkish purple eyes, as if examining and analysing them. The eyes closed as rustling could be heard in the shrubbery, prompting the team of hero fwends to give chase.
“Don’t let him get away!” Cinder urgently spoke.
But the shadow was craftier than they gave him credit for. He darted seamlessly through the dark greens of the woods and seemingly disappeared into the misty air surrounding them. A bit miffed by what just happened, Frizard was about to speak up before he stepped on something.
“Eh?” he exclaimed. “Guys, look! A note…”
“What’s it say?” Elfilin wondered.
“I’m lookin’! I’m lookin’!” the penguin dragon spoke. “Here. It says:”
“Dear Heroes,
I see you are following me… I suppose that at some point, the mystery to my true identity would intrigue you folks… Heh… I do love a good game of hide and go seek tag, you should know. You should also know that I won’t be making this easy, but I’ll certainly try to help out wherever I can on your journey. Here. I imagine you’d probably want this. You know how to use this item, right? If you run out of Hearts and fall in battle at any point during your adventure, this nifty little mushroom will immediately come to your aid and replenish your entire supply. This one and a few more will be free, but I suggest you look out for others that are hidden throughout the land. Good luck, heroes! I say that both in regards to your battle and finding me! Hehehe!

“Sorry, you mean to say that Kamek’s own SHADOW hates him that much?!” Olly joked, eliciting laughter from the others.
“What does this all even mean?!” Elfilin tilted his head cutely. “Is this shadow on our side or…?”
“I’m not going to get my hopes up all the way…” Cinder mused. “But… As of right now, it looks like it. I mean, he DID solve that puzzle and clear that enemy camp out for us… However simple it might have seemed for him.”
“Just when I thought this adventure couldn’t get any weirder…” Sparky shook his head. Just as he finished shaking his head however, he saw him…
Right in front of him and everyone else once more stood the eerie blue shadow of the wizard known as Kamek, not doing anything but staring…
And then? He vanished again.
Who is this shadow, and what will he do next?
